Did you play Injustice 2? As fighting games go, NRS games easily offer some of the best single player replayability. I imagine this game will once again push boundaries for the genre in terms of sp content.

I got MKXL last year for $10. I will wait for MK11XL as well so I can get all rhe characters and the full game for $10-$20 yet again. There is zero reason to own fighting games on day1. You get much less content for full price. But impatient people will always pay for being impatient.

You learn the same time as the community. Opposed to jumping in later and playing against people that have used the same character for 4 years. The experience is the advantage.

I usually play games to have fun. For me, it isn't fun to play with strangers online because most of these people are unstable. At least that is my personal experience from playing online from the early 2000's to early 2010's. So I stopped years ago and now only play with friends online. It's better that way.

Then you'd miss out on half the games lifecycle. MK XL was much less active than MKX when it first came out.

I wasn't aware that there is a lifecycle of games. I just play what I feel like, not what is fashionable. I still play PS1 games from time to time. If 1-2 years is a game lifecycle, than what's up with games from the 90's?🤔
I would give you the point if you are talking about MMO's. But this is a fighting game that will play the same 10 years from now if you pop it in as it plays today.
