It’s 2019 and with video game publishers no longer worrying about what games to sell you this past holiday, they can now focus their attention towards announcing and selling you games this upcoming holiday. 2019 is already looking pretty stacked for exciting new releases, even in just these first couple of months. But it’s only January, so expect plenty more announcements throughout the year.
And now, more than ever, here’s hoping that one of those announcements is some kind of Persona 5 port for Nintendo Switch
Super Smash Bros Ultimate will host a new Spirits event on March 21 to celebrate the release of Princess Peach Showtime! and Super Mario Bros Wonder. The event will last for five days with new Spirits from the Nintendo Switch games.
The creator of the Smash Bros series, Masahiro Sakurai, has explained the lack of button re-mapping in Super Smash Bros Ultimate.
With the recent restocks, there are still a number of rare and hard-to-find Super Smash Bros. series amiibo figures out there.
Dunno why people think this might happen just because there's some persona dlc coming for super smash bros there's also snake from mgs 2 and cloud from the new ff7 but neither of those are on the switch. Also the portable version ends up on playstation portable not otherand there's the fact that the main persona series is exclusively on playstation. I'd say at least one of those trademarks also has to do with the second series of the animation due to it not getting the proper ending that the game does.
It will be announced during the direct on the tenth of January along with a whole plethora of unexpected games :)
More port begging requests... Nintendo fans really are the saddest losers.
“But our desire for Persona 5 on Nintendo Switch goes beyond mere port thirst.”
Sounds a lot like port thirst to me.
“Having a Persona 5 character in one of Switch’s biggest games but not the game itself on the platform would just be weird.”
This concept isn’t anything new.
- Solid Snake joining SSSB didn’t guarantee that a Metal Gear title would be on Wii
- Mega Man joining SSB4 didn’t guarantee a Mega Man game for Wii U
- Pac-Man joining SSB4 didn’t guarantee new Pac-Man games for Wii U.
- Ryu joining SSB4 didn’t guarantee a Street Fighter game on Wii U
- Cloud joining SSB4 didn’t guarantee a Final Fantasy game on Wii U
- Simon & Richter joining SSBU didn’t guarantee a new Castlevania game on NS.
“It’s like Castlevania Requiem being PS4-exclusive after the Belmont boys’s appearance in Smash Bros. resurrected love for that franchise.”
The Netflix Castlevania series resurrected the love for this series before then. Plus Castlevania Requiem wouldn’t even even exist without SIE’s involvement.
