VGChartz's Evan Norris: "With so many interesting platformers emerging from the independent game space, it doesn't seem like the genre will want for great games any time soon. In 2018, indie titles mixed with a brand new Kirby campaign and an inventive PSVR adventure with great results. Fans of all platforming stripes were satisfied. Titles like Guacamelee! 2 and Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom scratched the itch for platform-adventure; indie darling Celeste satisfied the need for a McMillen-esque tough-as-nails platformer; GRIS delivered a thoughtful, contemplative take on the ancient genre; Kirby Star Allies leaned into cooperative play; and Astro Bot Rescue Mission pushed platforming into a new dimension."
NE: "Kirby's been on more than a handful of adventures, and we've gathered a list of 10 of the best Kirby games here."
NE: "Kirby Star Allies has what is perhaps the most complicated tidbits of lore the series has ever seen. Here's our full explanation."
Also added this month: The Evil Within, Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom, Paradise Killer, Dishonored: Definitive Edition.
Riders republic. Nice. I never bought it but played beta twice. Good fun openworld game.
I kept getting caught up in other games so I never got around to buying Doom Eternal. If it's good I'll still buy it so i can keep it. The reboot was awesome, i think i played through it about 5 times, and platinumed it.
A whole lotta Bethesda titles in this lineup
Sackboy also got included as well despite already being as Essential title
Spiderman is in the titles leaving Extra in May. Guess 1st party titles aren't guaranteed to stay
Great Month, own most of them but looking fwd to trying monstor boy, nice sto have EW in my collection now and some wolfeinstein.
Celeste was an outstanding puzzle platformer. It was the first die-rinse-repeat platformer that I have played since the original two Oddworld games and was blown away.
Astrobot Rescue Mission is the VR Mario Land we needed. That was such an experience that only PSVR could deliver.
Nice choice!! I am wondering why I have not played yet this game.
