A Best Vampire Game list and no Bloodborne. A bold choice, indeed.
IMO, I wouldn't consider bloodborne a vampire game. Long story short, It's more about the side effects of the blood experiment and the influence of the red moon, than actually being a vampire.
Yes, Bloodborne is about Vampires. It's not just the undertones, or the imagery or the obvious parallels, it's pretty much everything and then some. Here's the thing, Bram Stoker's Dracula is also not a Vampire novel. Why? Because technically Vampires from folklore were something else.
But based on our updated view of what Vampires are, informed in one way or another by Bram Stoker's Dracula, Nosferatu The Vamprye, and many other stories, and combined with From Software's own interpretation, we can say with confidence that Bloodborne IS a Vampire story. Sure, there are other elements, but the central narrative is pretty much Vampires. Which would make it THE Vampire game. I mean, Cainhurst Castle. Anyways, that's how I see it.
But to each their and we'll agree to disagree.

No Blood Omen? Even today it's one of my favourite vampire games. We could really do with a release on modern platforms.
I really enjoyed Vampyr. The combat is a little clunky and could use some work. However, the story, characters, dialog. setting, and pretty much everything else in the game is great.

But kind of hard to do when they are tasked in helping TRILLION dollar companies finish making their games. Just blows your mind right? Sucks the life right out of you like a vampire.
They need to do it quick the voice talent isn't getting any younger and we need a wrap up of the story of Kain and Raziel.
Man I can only imagine what a modern take of Nosgoth would look like past and present. Have Blood Omen with D4 style top down graphics and Soul Reaver taking advantage of SSD and physical/spectral plain shifting with modern graphics and updated combat ,,,, drool :p Honestly they could condense soul reaver 1,2& defiance in to 1 game if they ever do a remake , make it a huge epic arpg

First the author got the name of the first game wrong it's Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain , not Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen. But yes i'd like to either a new one from the Nosgoth universe or a remake of them all.
Absolutely, it is! However, only if Amy Henig is at the helm as the creative director, as she was on the original. In fact, I would love to see an overhauled remaster done of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, similar to how well Bluepoint Games overhauled Shadow of the Colossus. I also believe the rebooted work of Capcom's upcoming Resident Evil 2 is a great example how Legacy of Kain should be rebooted.
