Chloe writes: Time for a confession; I never played Katamari Damacy on the PS2, I know it’s one of those “must have played” games from the PS2, but I just never bought it. Luckily, the time has now come for me to grow some ball(s) (literally) and live up to my name as Prince of All Cosmos.

The PS2 classic Katamari Damacy REROLL, rolls it’s way onto modern consoles, but is this quirky game worth revisiting?
Eurgh.... 10/10 a perfect game in every way.
... I’m done, stop the ride I’m getting off!
COG writes: With beautifully unique visuals and an exceptional soundtrack, Katamari Damacy Reroll is a delightful remaster of the original whimsical game where a tiny Prince rolls an adhesive ball around Earth to recreate the stars in the sky.
The original controls aren't bad once learned properly. For instance, he doesn't seem to know that clicking in both sticks instantly reverses your viewpoint, allowing for reversing course very quickly. Fast turns are accomplished while rolling forward by pulling back on one stick or the other (while leaving the opposite stick pressed forward).
Where the remake really missed the mark is with the so-called simplified controls. They are much worse than the originals, and should be avoided. They had the opportunity to provide left-stick Katamari control and right-stick camera/look, and they completely blew it. Maybe the code they had to work with made that too difficult. That's the only excuse I wouldn't sneer at.
