That's rigth, they had a lot of missed opportunities, like making a campaing mission about Lyudmila Pavlichenko (Lady Death), the Russian sniper. Or they could have made a fictional campaign with a French resistance agent like medal of honor did with the second entry (Ps1 era) and not rewriting history, disrespecting the memory of current soldiers like the ones who sabotage the Nazi hard water production in Norway , nor vilifying the French via implying that they erased the Senegalese Tirailleurs participation from history. It has been historically correct. 1942, both vietnams were accurate with some consessions. In fact they were more so than the BFs today.

Bf3,4, BFBC,BFBC2, hardline we’re all made up conflicts but the uniforms, weapons, vehicles and attachments are accurate to the time - as in these conflicts don’t exist but this modern military weaponry does and is used. With hardline being the exception.

BF1 started to REALLY stray from being accurate.

Battlefield V is an "early access" title so people shouldn't rush out and buy it anyways. I understand the traditional mp portion of the game is there at launch...but tons of items are not.

Battlefield V lower sale are EA/ Dice's own doing, the amount if missing content as you stated will lead to people holding off from buying the game or skipping it all together. Also, late buyers of the title likely won't be interested in paying $60 for the title.

You are correct. (All the arguments about the historical nature aside) if EA/DICE would have released the game without the grayed out options in the menus and released their war stories with the multiplayer parts it would have been fine. They would have developed even more good will if they surprised people with future content after the fact(without announcing it months in advance and then claiming that gamers want a slow drip of content and not tons of content at launch).

t EA hyped up the battle royale aspect of the game yet failed to launch BF v with the mode. PUBG, BLOPs 4 and Fortnite will probably dominate battle royale for the next year or so, I think EA missed their chance.

what i don't understand is why not delay the damn game and release it when finished with all the content possible. BF is a huge IP and BF5 had no hype behind it before launch. Don't these publishers realize that releasing games anytime on the calendar will get them sales with less competition as long as the game is good

It's easily the best battlefield title since the original. A lot of blind hate for a really good game because EA sucked at their marketing by trying to play up its "importance" for "progressive values" when really all that means is sometimes when you shoot a player you hear a woman shriek instead of a man yell. Its actually gross that EA and progressives WANT games where women are being literally butchered in large numbers. But the game itself is quite good.

Games been great so far. Light on content at launch and they’d could’ve delayed it another month to squash bugs but the game’s still very playable and the faster time to kill is a huge plus in being able to perform crazier heroic moments in online. Shame people dismiss this game for their political reasons. Nothings forced, makes their complaints laughable. I’m expecting the games as service model will mean more maps and content coming soon.
