Sony was showing off a whole bunch of PSP titles at the 2008 Tokyo Game Show, a handful of which featured Dynasty Warriors-esque samurai combat. One such title, Sengoku Basara: Battle Heroes, eschews massive battlefields for small arenas where two teams duel to the death. GameSpot jumped into the fray to with an AI teammate to get a taste for this take on feudal Japanese fighting.
The latest issue of Weekly Famitsu report that Capcom is currently working on the latest game in the Sengoku Basara series. Sengoku Basara Battle Heroes will still be the hack-and-slash game that the series is known for but features 2on2 battle and support for 4-player communication play via the ad hoc mode. The game will be out in Japan in spring 2009.
