Everything or Nothing should've been higher, but otherwise it's a good list. That game is easily better than From Russia With Love, and is up there with Blood Stone which was also good. I'm happy to see it got a good placement.

Nightfire is so low

I thought it was one of the better games after Goldeneye. Way better then Bloodstone, hell I'm pretty sure that was a huge letdown back when it launched.

Geobros2033d ago

Goldeneye by RARE was not only the best James Bond game but the only one worth playing. Unfortunately, the rest is rubbish.

tigertron2033d ago (Edited 2033d ago )

Shamefully, without having played Goldeneye (shocking as GE is my favourite film). I would say Everything or Nothing, then Nightfire, Bloodstone and finally Agent Under Fire.

EDIT: I need to play From Russia with Love too...

The wha ... ?
Oh, Daniel Craig.

adamwparker914d ago

I couldn't even name a Daniel Craig 007 game.
I play games still and constantly listen to video game podcasts but no Craig games are popping in my mind.

It's crazy because Brosnan had many that come to mind.

ToddlerBrain914d ago

You already can’t purchase some of the games anymore. Bond games are notoriously horrendous with their licensing.

Christopher914d ago

Pretty much the same for all movie/tv show IPs out there, tbh.

ElvisHuxley914d ago

Casino Royale was pretty good, kinda downhill from there though IMO. Just let Bond die with dignity.

Hope they make a comeback next gen

PrimeVinister1449d ago

There were a few non-film ones back on PS2/GC that were really good.
I can imagine the cinematic elements of those games would look even better now.

DaReapa1448d ago

Everything or Nothing is my second best Bond game behind Goldeneye 64, followed by Nightfire.

fulldeepdive1448d ago

we have a lot of great video games and we have a lot coming out this year...lame

Godmars2901448d ago

What's happened to the James Bond franchise in general?

It, much like Star Trek, Star Wars, has had too much of the "real world" shoved down their throats. That plus people with agendas hijacking them thinking they can use brand value to deliver "transformative" messaging while lacking the awareness, the creative talent, needed to make them entertaining at even a base level.

Also, getting back on subject, doesn't help that movie studios don't see gaming studios as equals who need as much if not more time to do their jobs right.

Tross1448d ago (Edited 1448d ago )

Yeah, come to think of it. Maybe their absence can be attributed to the falling popularity of the videogame adaptation or even the licensed franchise tie-in, as well as the gaming landscape being quite different now than it was. The Bond titles filled a niche of FPS-action titles, the likes of which are not exactly uncommon nowadays. That said, the Bond games were a fun take on the genre that I'd like to see return one day.

DaReapa1448d ago

Activision's tenure with the license attributed to the lack of quality games.

roadkillers1448d ago

That's true. You couldn't get past the PS2 days without a movie tie in. Now, I can't think of the last game tie in.. even Star Wars was different

Goldeneye standard the best by far I did actually enjoy quantum of solace game a little golden gun mode etc online was pretty cool but come on no James Bond game let alone movie tie in has been as great as goldeneye it is just class from start to finish.

THamm2487d ago

I thought Bloodstone was terrific, I was looking forward to another one by the same team, the driving brought a lot to the game. Although it was loaded with QT events, I thought it was exactly what a bond game should be

-Foxtrot2488d ago

Nightfire was the best after Goldeneye

Even the theme song was pretty good...and if it had online elements to the multiplayer it could have been great.

Relientk772488d ago

Agent Under Fire and Nightfire on PS2 are amazing

Sciurus_vulgaris2488d ago

Nightfire is the best bond post Goldeneye, in my opinion. I found Agent Underfire to be decent, but overall it just felt like a lesser template of Nightfire. Everything or Nothing, had great missions and sets pieces, but wasn't mechanically strong, and didn't have death match. I really miss the Goldeneye-Esque shooters, that were decently popular during the late 90s to early 2000s.

ThatArtGuy2488d ago

Another list that only goes back to 1998. James Bond games go all the way back to the Atari 2600.
