Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Gigantic battles & love

Assassin's Creed Odyssey is one of the most anticipated new releases at this year's Gamescom. Critics are right when they say that if it weren't for the slaughter, the Assassin's Creed franchise would be suitable for history lessons.

I love how Ubisoft is going big and bold with the RPG gameplay but Honestly, I don't want to sound ungrateful but this is not Assassins Creed at all... Even though I am very sure that this will be the best AC game in the series but again this is not your typical AC. Well, anyways I guess they won't go back to roots for a long time now. Then again I would have preferred if they made a whole new IP or just remove the AC tag from it. So weird that I am complaining about something that is getting bigger and more in-depth but I really want the old AC back in some way. That Ezio Storyline, Setting, and the environment was really well done, Shame they ruined that style of gameplay with Unity and AC3. The Back flag I think is my favorite "Traditional" AC Game of all time (I enjoyed and loved the Second but I adore the 4) Unity was the turning point for the worse and really did massive harm to the series. Syndicate is I would consider the underrated game of the series as it was pretty good with Ok storyline and good gameplay and the game was a solid AC game but guess sales were not good enough.

Origins though is the best game in the series. NOT THE BEST ASSASSINS CREED, BUT THE BEST GAME IN THE SERIES.

RPG is easy to milk, that is why, they turn Assassin into RPG, just to milk it. they could just make a game easily like one of the Sam Fisher's game. good story, deeper stealth mechanics and good combat mechanics. but they want just money. that is why they removed houses and income and made a game like RPG.

Technically, we wanted more money.

bradfh199d ago

Call of Duty already does this; Ubisoft and other game companies will follow suit and explore similar approaches.

Congratulations, A technical error In displaying ads while playing.
EU consumer law needs to chew these assholes a new one.

TheColbertinator199d ago

At this point the entire EU commission must be bribed

Christopher199d ago

The big note here is the built in ad-displays during gameplay and not that they happened. Start screen, cool. Gameplay? That shouldn't ever happen.

"Start screen, cool."

Uhm, no. Start screen very much NOT cool either. There really need to be new laws implemented banning these companies from shoving ads down out throats at every opportunity they see fit.

For free to play which is a market of games needing monetization through different venues. In those games this stuff is fine by me. But when you pay ..20, 40 ,60, or $70 that's when it is not okay to any degree.

jznrpg198d ago

Start screen not cool either

They're testing the waters, vote with your wallets.

porkChop199d ago

That's not a technical error. An ad can't be displayed mid-game without you creating the code/tech to make that possible first.
