Tekken 7 Getting Anna Williams, Lei Wulong, Negan from The Walking Dead, and More

Today, at the end of the EVO 2018 Grand Finals, Bandai Namco announced a new season for Tekken 7.

Just because he's not kiryu, doesn't mean he won't be a good addition. Negan is a much more recognisable character too so more heads will turn with this announcement.

Kiryu wouldn't bring in money like Negan. Don't get me wrong, I'd much rather Kiryu but if I could really have it my way it would be another Tekken legacy character instead... With that said, I strongly believe Negan will help get the correct funding for all the legacy characters people want moving forward. Please the hardcore Tekken fans while taking a solid stab at what the casual would want. Win win.

Soo much for legacy characters being free. I'm happy officer Lei and Anna made it in, as for Negan, I understand why they wanted him in. They have been really trying to attract the casual market in Tekken 7, and Walking Dead is still very beloved and popular.

Because Mortal Kombat has the casual locked in. However, on the competitive side of things Tekken has literally never been better. It is now entertaining to watch at the highest levels of play instead of the Bob snoozefest in Tekken 6. There actually hasn't been a boring top 8 for Tekken 7 since it came out which is huge considering TTT2 and T6 were very boring to watch. Entrants have never been higher for tournaments. Biggest Tekken tournament ever happened last weekend with over 1,500 entrants. Tekken is clearly making some solid moves and has only gone upward.

Interesting choice, I was hoping for more SNK characters or something else but still in the fighting game genre. This type of guest character seems more fit for Mortal Kombat, not Tekken.

I wonder if they'll stay true to the show and make him fun to play for the first few times and then get boring as all hell as it goes on.

He will probably feel better in a Tekken game as Mortal Kombats tend to be clunky with an odd flow but I don't think Tekken can do him justice in the violence department. With that said, he is definitely more fit for MK. Makes me feel like Harada eavesdropped on an MK11 conference and stole the Negan idea before they could execute it. ;p

This has me legit intrigued seeing how well Noctis was implemented was impressive, I definitely have reservations about a TV character (from a show I don't care about) being put in T7 but I have faith the dev team will make him control amazingly.

Yes, yes, and...ok, sure. It's a start. Hopefully the three more characters revealed will be other "legacy characters". Julia, Marduk and either Armor King, Bruce or Christie would be nice.

Why are they not focusing on bringing tekken characters in a tekken game? Instead wasting slots on based tv shows? Whos next? Buffy the vampire slayer? Or Van Helsing? Since you have a Vampire character.
Bruce Irvin, Wang Jinrei, Zafina, Kunimitsu and more are missing. Get your act together project tekken!! Leave the stupid guest character adding last.

Anna and Lei Wu Long my two best characters been investing in them since Tekken 2, so happy right now... Just waiting for Julia Chang to complete my deadliest trio :-)
