They kind of encourage it though. On The Sims 3, there is an achievement to resurrect a sim, so it's easier to just kill a sim and use another sim to resurrect them XD
Oh come on, who never put a Sim on a swimmingpool and removed all the stairs just to see what happens. Done that on the first The Sims just to see the house get haunted and still remember that my Sim also accidentaly died changing a lamp (it screwed my "serious" game).
I thought this was the ONLY WAY to play The Sims
