Spyro Reignited Trilogy faced a controversy recently once some ardent fans discovered that the retail version of the game will require a content download.
The Reignited Trilogy was supposed to be a launch pad for Spyro, but after a few cryptic teasers, we're still waiting on a new game
*Sigh*
Sometimes it's hard being a Spyro fan. Yeah, i really really really want Spyro 4. Crash Bandicoot got a 4th one, its only fair.
Daily Video Game writes: "Today, eShop has just kicked off a new game sale for Nintendo Switch gamers that offers steep discounts on several popular games from Activision, Numskull Games, indienova, Frozenbyte, Sometimes You, and more right now!"
KeenGamer: "Rage quitting is something we've all done, and it's never pretty. See which missions end up being the most rage-inducing of them all. Some missions go beyond the threshold of difficulty and test our abilities and patience to the limit, forever scarring players with the grinding cycle of try, fail and repeat."
The elevator in GOW Ascension made me rage quit so hard I uninstalled the game and never did go back to it. I'm not proud of that. I have played and loved every GOW game but that level just took the utter piss out of me.
Trying for the no guns achievement on Mirrors Edge broke both me, and a set of car keys which was the closest thing in grabbing distance that wasnt a controller.
"As with most games today, downloading an update after purchase is quite common"
day one patches for stability fixes or bugs and downloading entire games are two completely different things altogether.
Are they f****** high?
There's a huge difference between having day one updates for patches and downloading two thirds of the game you've just bought.
I feel like they just live in LaLa land half the time but this right here demonstrates how equal Activision and EA are. You might think EA is worse but the only difference is EA is like a bull in a china shop, they'll make noise, break things and move to the next place while Activision would take a stealthier and more quiet approach to minimize complaints.
See how they got a high off the Crash Bandicoot remake trilogy though and now for the next game they think they can screw us over because they think it'll just net them high sales automatically based on nostalgia. That's Activision...if we let this shit continue then it'll be even worse with the next game and it could end up being Crash Team Racing.
Activision doesn't have an excuse besides greed, there is very likely no technical reason for all 3 remastered games not to be on disc. After the success of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane, you would think there would be no reason to fight used sales of Spyro Reignited Trilogy, besides greed.
This press release does NOT confirm that all 3 games are on the included physical media.
Came in expecting to find a dumb excuse....as expected
