Rumor: Luigi’s Mansion For 3DS Is Out In October, According To Best Buy

One game coming to the 3DS that hasn’t received as much spotlight as the likes of WarioWare Gold is the remake of the 2001 GameCube launch title, Luigi’s Mansion.

Now, US retailer Best Buy has the game listed for release on 12th October.

I would get this if this came to Switch.

Moonman2102d ago

Exactly, I wouldn't even mind the GameCube version with a resolution bump up. I simply want to play it on better screens (the Switch and a big HDTV..lol).

Was literally just gonna say that

The fact they keep putting these on the handheld instead of the main console is ridiculous, Dark Moon felt smaller and more compact since their was multiple smaller mansions instead of one big one.

I want a real sequel on the Switch and have a huge complex mansion to explore, a remake on the Switch could have helped push that along but they keep shoving onto a handheld system, it's really sad at this point.

Moonman2102d ago

I agree completely. :)

Plus, they could of at least launched the 3DS with this game back in 2011. Then I would have bought it. Now it just feels like a troll to be honest...lol.

nintendo has ported alot of games to the nintendo switch as well as new games but still wanna make new games for the 3DS i think both games fit and work really well on the 3DS

Why couldn't there be a simultaneous Switch and 3DS release?

Automatic792100d ago

Makes no sense to me that Nintendo can't release Luigi's Mansion and the 2D Metroid on Switch. Games like this build up momentum.

NecrumOddBoy2100d ago

Agreed. So many 3DS devs just need to Switch up! Just put these games on Switch. Where is our Professor Layton? Ace Attorney? Or a new Cing game like Hotel Dusk or Trace Memory?

I enjoyed LM3 well enough but honestly, I was expecting more. I want to see Nintendo get a little more ambitious with IP's like Luigi's Mansion. Expand the dev budget for a game like this and increase production value. I want to see LM expand into a true free-roaming "open world" type of game. Break away from the fixed plane level design and give Luigi the same kind of freedom Mario has in say, Odyssey.

Luigi's Mansion Deserved a Better Remake

The 3DS had been out for years, and the hardware was dated. Looking back on it, the Luigi's Mansion Remake should have been on the Switch.

They should have expanded on it, added new rooms, ghosts and even some new modes for New Game +

Neonridr897d ago

Agreed, the 3DS couldn't do the original justice.

It's not a bad port but definitely the gcn version is still a classic. 3ds did some things better but overall i do prefer the console version.

NecrumOddBoy896d ago

I would say the Luigi’s Mansion and it’s 3DS sequel should come to Switch as a package. But I’d also like Metroid Samus Returns and Link Between Worlds to come to Switch too.

Neonridr896d ago

I'd love to see the first 2 lugi's mansions ported over.

Bathory666896d ago

Y’all are crazy. Playing Luigi mansion in 3d was incredible. That’s a huge upgrade

Neonridr896d ago

3D was cool, but graphically it looked inferior even to the dated Gamecube visuals.
