Jakejames Lugo of The Koalition writes: 20XX is the kind of new Mega Man X game that we wish we received over the last few years. You can’t play 20XX and ignore all of the nods and references to Capcom’s iconic franchise, which makes up the entirety of its experience. But imitation is the best form of flattery, especially when it’s done rather well and tries to offer something new into what was already established beforehand. 20XX does this by mimicking the platforming and shooting of Mega Man X but throws in clever twists like roguelite stage progression, cooperative multiplayer, and various upgrades to gather throughout the game. While there are a few flaws here and there, 20XX takes a fun direction with an established gameplay formula that’s been dominated by Capcom over the years.
20XX, Barony, and Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP are free at Epic Games Store starting today. The free game offers run until August 6 at 11 AM Eastern. Once you claim them, they're yours to keep.
James writes - "We can all agree that the massive sale last week that saw a shed load of Xbox One and Xbox 360 games discounted will be hard to top, but it’s a new week and that means there are new offers in place via the Xbox Deals With Gold and Spotlight Sale. So, if you’re looking for something different to play and wish to get a bargain then the Xbox Deals With Gold and Spotlight Sale for 23rd-30th July, 2019 might just have what you need."
It may be hard to firmly define what actually constitutes an "indie" game these days, but here are the best indie games on Xbox One right now.
Definitely will check out this game when I have some time.
