Man I'm on the fench about getting that edition. I didn't know it existed until you said something and I looked it up. The selling point would be the music cd for me. Amazon has a 5 dollar off deal if I trade something in. And I have a lot sitting around to trade in. So hmmmmmmm.

My shelves beside my TV are now full of statues like Uncharted, Horizon, God of War, pip boy, amiibos, a MGS arm, etc, lol

Also have Spiderman coming this fall too, which I will have to make a space for :P

I don't see a problem here. Seriously though, Takahashi is on record saying that Octopath Traveler was developed to be a “spiritual successor” to Final Fantasy 6, kind of like how Bravely Default was meant to be the spiritual follow up to Final Fantasy 5. So, yeah, you're going to sink in some time.

Nintendo have quietly gone about their business and lined up some really nice games this year. Mario Tennis, Tropical Freeze, Captain Toad, Bayonetta 2, Octopath, Pokemon and Smash Bros not too shabby at all.

Octopath, in my opinion, looks to be the pick of the bunch though, that art style alone makes me want to play it, let alone the gameplay and story.

The branching main stories reminds me of saga frontier. From what I'm reading this game is handled much better, but I'm still bitter about buying that game 20 some years ago. 😂

I'd really love to have a Switch, I just haven't been able to pick one up yet with adult / family priorities. :\

Happy to see more and more awesome games hit the system though. Really makes me want a Switch even more! Probably around the Holidays.
