Skyrim VR Gets Surprise PSVR Patch Improving Graphics And More

Bethesda may have another Elder Scrolls VR game on the way, but it’s not done with its VR port of Skyrim, either.

Huh? No, I just waited because I was worried about performance since I heard mixed things. But now that it's getting even more updates and such I think it's the right time. I was also waiting for the right price since this will be like the 3rd time I've bought Skyrim lol

With the recent sales the price has never been cheaper I just upgraded my gen 1 to a green 2 the trade in price was quite good at cex so the difference was like $50

Ugh, sorry man, I think you just missed the right time. Sony had a week long sale where they chopped $100 off and dell gave an extra $10 or $20 off if you bought from them. It was a sweet deal.
But I'm sure another will roll around. Black friday will be here before you know it.

Oh I already have PSVR. I meant I was waiting to buy Skyrim VR. I have had PSVR since it launched.

About time. The res quality is really low if you have not tried it yet. Hopefully this patch will offer a huge improvement

That is going to be an ongoing issue. The screen is only 1080x960 and that is only 1 screen for both eyes @ 60hz and it sucks. Maybe MS will eventually support VR for X like they discussed using third party licensed headsets? No it's 960x1080 per eye, psvr has 1920x1080 rgb screen and it's 120hz panel.

Really want vr to work.... until they improve motion so i dont feel so ill after playing. Finger's crossed vr2 improves things.

I"m one of the lucky people who haven't experienced motion sickness from PSVR, but for your sake I do hope we get a PSVR ver. 2 next gen that will be better for you because VR really is so much fun.

that isn't the tech's problem though. it's caused by seeing action that doesn't match what the body is experiencing. better tech mighy just make it worsr by being more realistic

many people can get acclimated to this though

it could be that you need to adopt yourself to VR..little by little..I had same problem with some games like Driveclub, Battlezone..even Resident evil 7..but the more time passed and i played, less and less sickness i got..now I can play most games without problem..hopefully you will be alright too

I have a pro and I can def say there is a big difference. Everything is clear and beautiful. Less jaggies more draw distance.
