Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo: Who Had the Best Exclusives at E3 2018?

Sony had great games.....but they have nothing that competes with Smash Bros, Fire Emblem, Pokemon, Mario Odyssey and they have Horizon that kind of compared to Breath of the Wild in certain aspects.

Sony has more story driven single player games but the certain games Nintendo has.....the rest of the industry has no answer for.

I as a gamer who owns a Switch,XB1 & PS4, PC, 3DS, Vita & PSP........I win.....I won E3.

I can play all of those on my PC, no need for an Xbox at all. And yes yes "console exclusive" "still not on playstation!!111!" blah blah. That's an old and false excuse. If it's also on PC, it's not an Xbox exclusive. And don't give me any of that "bu-bu-but MS and Windows" because that's not how it works.

Kojima taking the non violent game design approach on Death Stranding is a mind blowing day one must buy game changer to me.
Mad reapect to Kojima.
PlayStation is almost there when it comes maturity in gane design.

Same thing with Insomniac Games Spiderman's no one dies game design is a day one buy for me. Its amazing how they pulled this off for a AAA game.

Ghost of Tsushima's "enough with guns" approach is also a day one must have for me. You can feel Jin's unity with his sword.

PS4 exclusives showed great maturity this E3.

If I was just basing on presentation I'd say MS, but I don't care about that crap it's the games that matter most.

And in that regard I'd say Sony won because they showed 4 quality exclusives, and didn't have to fluff it up with other games. The 4 games stood on their own.

MS was a good presser but it didn't convince me that I should go out and rebuy their console(s) again.

PlayStation is light years way ahead of Nintendo and Xbox when it comes to gaming progress. Sony love and passion for the game industry so incredible. Their exclusives grow with the growing gamer.

Nintendo and Microsoft is only in it for the money obviously.

You know what's funny.. I never realized until you mentioned this.. XBOX in all there conferences always go out of their way to say " EXCLUSIVE. CONSOLE EXCLUSIVE. EXCLUSIVE WORLD PREMIER".. but Sony never does that.. they just show their logo and the game... interesting...

No matter what kind of exclusive it is, they always just have the deep voice say "exclusive". If it's a multiplat, then you get "world premiere".
Thing is a lot of them were just console launch exclusives (a way to try and trick people into thinking they're console exclusive, when they're really just timed. It's become my biggest pet peeve with xbox at E3. The closest I've seen Sony get to this is when they say "first on playstation", and that doesn't sound anywhere near exclusive to me.

Sony, even though I had high hopes for Nintendo. Microsoft had promise with Halo and Gears, but very few exclusives and Nintendo barely showed Fire Emblem and Mario Party. Pokemon GO is imo disappointing but Smash Ultimate looks like a dream come true.
But as of now, nothing can beat Spider-man, Last of Us 2, Death Stranding, Days Gone and Ghost of Tsushima.

The game I'll regret not being able to play most is Ghost of Tsushima, other Sony exclusives looked great but arent what I look for. Microsoft had the worst conference and didn't show anything new I want to play. Halo teaser just made me sigh, and everything else is 2019 or farther out. Nintendo hit a homerun. Showing so much of smash bros and hitting all the right notes. Almost everygame they showed someone in my household is looking forward to. With the real online coming I was very happy with the multiplayer games I saw. Nintendo won it big time for me, Sony didn't show anything that would make me get a ps4, and microsoft is really trying hard to make me sell my xbox so I can get my wife a switch so she doesn't have to borrow mine.

Ori, Tunic, the Indies and I liked the Halo Trailer.
Ghost of Tsushima, Control, Ni-OH 2, Last of Us 2, Babylon Fall.
Fire Emblem Three Houses, Xenoblade 2 DLC and Daemon X Machina.
These were my favorites of the 3 systems, coupled with Kejiro, Kingdom Hearts 3, DMC V and Resident Evil 2 REmake, which will give me a stroke.

the topic is exclusive games. And the biggest complaint against xbox in that regard is that all they have is halo/gears/forza. And all they showed of note was ... you guessed it, halo/gears/forza.
Sony showed 2 new IP both highly anticipated (GOT and DS), 2 returns to brand new IP (Nioh and TLOU) and a fresh new run for Spiderman.
Nintendo showed Smash, fire emblem and xenoblade among others. Granted less exciting to many than what Sony is offering but still way ahead of halo/gears/forza yet again.
I'll still say xbox won E3, but when it comes to exclusives? come on. They're in a firm last place.

My favorite exclusive was Daemon X Machina. Unreal 4 game that is made by former From Software employees who made the Armored Core series. This game is a mix of Armored Core X Zone of the Enders. Look at my avatar(it's from Assault Suit Leynos on PS4). I love mecha. I'm a mecha head. The game looks amazing. it maybe not some AAA cinematic game but its metal AF. I'm a mech head and a metal head and both are in one game. I need nothing more. Oh and while not an exclusive Devolver also brought a From Software mecha game. Metal Wolf Chaos. Good E3!
