Looks brilliant!! I want this in my veins!

naruga2163d ago (Edited 2163d ago )

looks perfect i prefer this over LoUS2 ...and also NIOH 2 is coming F Yeah!!

Deep-throat2163d ago

Perfect? Don't go wild bro.

rainslacker2163d ago

Tlou2 still wins it for me. Gameplay looked so good and a big step up from the first.

But ghosts will still certainly be a day one for me. I like the sword play being more traditional, and the graphics and atmosphere are fantastic.

Ashunderfire862163d ago

This looks awesome, but I got to still give it to Last Of Us II sequel to the best game ever made on PS3! Wow moment after moment it look action thriller with intense violences wow! Ghost of Tsushima looks amazing especially with the leaves moving around while the samurais fight each other. Pure. Epicness right here.

starchild2163d ago

Ghost of Tsushima, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Nioh 2 all in production...I feel like I've died and gone to heaven.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a very different kind of game but one I'm equally excited about.

NXFather2163d ago

Yeah this was the Game of the Show for Me.

kneon2162d ago (Edited 2162d ago )

It looks awesome, but not perfect, nothing is.

I love the environmental details with the leaves and branches moving in the wind, leaving footprints in the mud and the leaves on the ground moving as they move through them. But the leaves seem a bit too floaty, they should turn up the gravity a notch. The fighting animations are also a bit too fast and cartoonish for my taste, I prefer a more realistic approach.

Yes I'm nitpicking, but I'm a perfectionist, I can't help it. I'll still be playing this day 1 regardless.

UltraNova2162d ago

The game ouzes futal Japan authenticity. But those visuals my GOD! I'm so excited for this.

+ Nioh 2 and the new From Soft (shadows die twice) game are similar in setting. Lots of love for Japan. Sign me in!

Day frigging one, it looks absolutely gorgeous

GTgamer2163d ago

Sony clearly competes with themselves

doggo842163d ago

Spiderman, GOT, death stranding and TLOU 2 all look GOTY worthy

starchild2163d ago

Come on man, don't go there. You're basically insulting all multiplatform developers. I am beyond hyped for games like Ghost of Tsushima and The Last of Us Part 2, but I'd put games like Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Cyberpunk 2077 up there with any exclusive.

GTgamer2163d ago

@starchild I hear you but come on sekiro looks fantastic but it looks like something I've seen before and I haven't seen cyberpunk gameplay yet but I do expect it to be awesome, cd project red are crazy talented but what Sony showed last night. I was in complete awe looking at my PS4 like damn you run that? Seriously those games seem like PS5 titles the level of production on those games shows Sony ain't playing around.

Starchild

Sekiro and Cyberpunk are made by great developers, so obviously we expect them to be great. However, the trailers shown at E3 did not come close to the gameplay trailers shown for Ghost of Tsushima and TLoU 2. Cyberpunk showed a somewhat disappointing CG trailer with no gameplay and Sekiro looked good, but nowhere near the level of excellence displayed in TLoU and Tsushima.

I know the prospects of Cyberpunk and Sekiro are terrific because both From Soft and CDPR are A1 developers, but strictly based on the 2018 E3 showings they do not go toe to toe with the best showings of E3.

AnubisG2162d ago

I would preffer this in my PS4Pro. But to each their own I guess.😆

mark_parch2162d ago

ghosts of tsushima was my game of e3 but there's rumours it's not releasing till 2020 which is a shame

Christopher2162d ago

The gameplay reminded me of a Kurasawa movie. Definitely see the slowness as being a turn off, but looks like they made it look much easier than it really is. I think this is going to be a game about timing and precision.

That leaf strewn battle was beautiful. Beautiful.

My top game if E3.

Gamist2dot02162d ago

Slowness? Awe cm'on, if you want fast pace, that's what Nioh 2 and Sekiro are for.

Gazondaily2162d ago

"That leaf strewn battle was beautiful. Beautiful."

Reminded me of the scene in Hero with red leaves falling. Work of art.

dumahim2162d ago

I saw someone suggest a black and white mode to be more like a Kurosawa movie. Or black, white, and red.

RandoCommenter2162d ago

It looks so amazing, I love the clean look with no HUD! Wish more games would do this like Dead Space did with the life bar built into his suit!

IamTylerDurden12162d ago (Edited 2162d ago )

This is Sucker Punch's HZD in a sense. Second Son sold about 4 million units, but instead of forcing another sequel like other Publishers would Sony let Sucker Punch make the game they wanted. Just like they did with Guerrilla when they went on to make the super successful 8 million selling Horizon Zero Dawn. Guerrilla was unshackled and free to make the game of their dreams, and now Sucker Punch is doing the same.

If Tsushima turns out to be the success that Horizon was Sony would have a foursome of stud developers each pretty much sitting on multiple successful IPs.

Naughty Dog - Uncharted, TLoU, Jak
Guerrilla Games - Horizon, Killzone
Santa Monica - God of War, they work on numerous games
Sucker Punch - Infamous, Sly, Ghost of Tsushima

Day one! So glad Sony is allowing its developers the creative freedom to explore FEUDAL JAPAN!

lxeasy2163d ago

Not a day one for me, I have to see more. The visuals looked great but the game looked boring.

UCForce2163d ago

Nope, it’s look more grounded and authentic which I like.

Flewid6382163d ago (Edited 2163d ago )

Slow can be boring and slow can be fun.
Fast can be boring and fast can be fun.

This looked like slow and fun.

100_SavAGe2162d ago

I wonder what kind of games you like then

Ghost of Tsushima on PC Won't Be Released in Specific Countries Due to PSN, and Here's the List

It seems Ghost of Tsushima on PC will have the same PSN purchasing restrictions that caused massive backlash to Helldivers 2.

H92d ago

People on N4G: just fly to another country, what's the big deal

JL29302d ago

No one cares about 3rd world problems.

INMATEofARKHAM2d ago

There's actually at least one 1st world country on that list and a number of 2nd world countries too. It's almost as if you don't know what defines 1st, 2nd or 3rd world countries... 🤔

JL29302d ago

Ever hear of turn of phrase? English must not be your first language.

H92d ago

If only it was a gender problem

SPEAKxTHExTRUTH1d 17h ago

If I had to guess your age based on your comment I’d say middle schooler.

not available in JAPAN., wtf sony need to sort their sh** out. this is beyond a joke when a samurai game cannot be sold in Japan, something is wrong.

Hugodastrevas2d ago

Yeah, it's all wrong since they may bed to California

StoneTitan1d 15h ago

Because for Japan you have to create a different version. You should look it up. The game is sold in Japan but its not the same storefront. Same with helldivers.
Has something to do with microtransaczion laws.
Look it up.

Hugodastrevas2d ago

Bunch of geniuses running Sony these days... Smh

ocelot072d ago

Got the feeling Sony are half arsing the PC thing. It's that or the whole PC thing is completely lost on them.

wesnytsfs2d ago

Its lost to sony, They have been quite poor at pc releases going all the way back to the OG planetside.

Inverno2d ago

Why tho? The SP works without the need to log into PSN, this was literally announce. So why is it an issue? Simply A. removing the login restriction fixes this, or B. People simply won't play the MP which I don't think people will care much. A better option is A, or even better just lower the game price in those countries to compensate for the lack of MP access.

I would be on it. Especially if they change up the gameplay to differentiate from first game. Loved the first.

Currently enjoying Rise of Ronin.

blackblades45d ago

Both have different gameplay but it amazes me how people kept comparing just because they both are samurai. Seems kinda ...... that im not gonna mention.

Cacabunga45d ago

Bend studios making a gaas game and getting lot of negative comments abt that direction.
I hope these stay faithful to making amazing SP games..

Demetrius45d ago

Definitely getting ronin soon, I'm on my 2nd playthrough of GOT on ps5 this time🔥

-Foxtrot46d ago

Probably my most anticipated to be announced

I hope Jinns story continues and we get way more stealth tactics like dragging bodies away and the like.

Lightning7746d ago

I fully expect this game to be announced. Late 2025 release perhaps.

Either way I can't wait for its announcement at Sony's showcase.

Friendlygamer45d ago (Edited 45d ago )

I'm hoping for more complex interior level design for stealth gameplay and also a more complex stance system that's more than rock paper and scissor for each enemy type

RhinoGamer8845d ago

I have stopped pre-ordering games since Cyberpunk 2077 fiasco...this is a game I will make an exception for...

Ghost of Tsushima is one of my favorite games all time. Hard to live up to that. Not all games are going to be equivalent to some of the best games ever and that’s ok. It is a natural comparison though

Killer2020UK46d ago

Totally agree, as a jaded gamer well into his 30s I didn't think games could hit like Ghost it Tsushima did. I actively avoided story missions in order to pursue every single side quest purely because I didn't want it to end. I wanted to be immersed in that world for as long as it lasted.

JangoMan44d ago

I hate open world games. Its clutter and fatigue. Except GoT.. I completed every thing before going into next main mission. The feeling of playing the game was.... I cant explain. It was perfect

raWfodog46d ago

My favorite jaw-dropping moment was obtaining the Ghost stance. Epic.

JangoMan44d ago

Agreed. Its the dream come true for fans of Samurai and Japan feudal age.

Andrew33646d ago

Got was good but super repetitive.

Juiceid46d ago

Arguably every game is repetitive.
