A couple weeks back IGN had a chance to go hands-on with Tetris Party for the first time at Nintendo's fall media summit. Needless to say, they were pleasantly surprised, as Hudson's latest block-stacker is shaping up to be one of the best Tetris games they have ever played, and a serious must-have on WiiWare. With the game coming out on WiiWare soon, and the inherent issue with trying to play games pre-release on Nintendo's system (there's no promo code like there is for XBLA games, for example, making it a bit tougher to review early) IGN has had to hold off on their final scoring for Tetris Party this week due to a lack of online testing, but rather than just sit around and wait for the game out, they figured they would dive a little deeper into what makes the game so good.
There’s a reason no-one talks about this game you know. Swift judgement needs to be laid down upon it…
What better way to celebrate the Game Boy's birthday?
GS: This week on his series on gaming companies, DDJ looks at Hudson Soft, one of Nintendo's earliest partners and among the only companies outside Nintendo to develop a Pokemon or Mario game.
Gotta love Hudson. My friends and I STILL play 10-player (yes, 10 player) Bomberman on my SEGA Saturn. Those games are so fun.
Why wasn't bloody roar on that list. It was a fun fighter. I hope they add br3 and br4 a s a ps2 classic.
BLOODY ROAR , I Freaking love this game from Hudson and i wish if there's a Fifth one for the franchise .. just imagine how the multiplayer looks like when you play it with Unlimited Combos *o* !
