The new Prince of Persia game is almost finished in its development cycle and is currently undergoing the last few tweaks and polish before getting the thumbs up and being sent off to be printed. Being developed by Ubisoft Montreal it is an interesting turn for the franchise to take, with a unique art direction and a new lady friend (Elika) tagging along for the ride. At its core however it is still true to its platforming roots.
The mind behind Prince of Persia shares his family’s life story as well as his own as a videogame developer in an emotional and very personal book.
With the release of The Lost Crown this week, let's take a look at every Prince of Persia game released since the series debuted.
If you’re a gamer “of a certain age”, you may vaguely remember the moment when games went from a grueling gauntlet requiring all your skill and concentration to tackle to a casual, checkpoint-containing, cruise control-encouraging walk in the park.
I beat Jurassic Park multiple times!
Jurassic Park had no save system, so I would leave the console running while I went to school, took breaks. It's not that it's hard, it's just tedious. But I was a Jurassic Park obsessed kid (around 13 when this hit), so I would obsessively scower ever inch of the maps (both 2D and 3D) until I had them memorized.
The Star Wars trilogy, I only beat w the cheat codes.
with the exception of Jurassic Park and Prince of Persia, I've beaten every other one of those. It just takes practice and time. Something I had way more of when I was younger.
has gone the way that I can't accept it as the true PoP anymore! it's more or less a fantasy game wannabe now instead of staying true to its own roots! PoP was always about finding your way up or down by climbing or sliding down the walls, pillars etc. and solving puzzles in the form of going through obstacles and unique acrobatic sword fightings! I love PoP the way they were, but now what? from what I've seen, you 'fly' or 'bounce' fancily with the help of Elika from one point to another making it feels (or should I say 'looks' as I still haven't played it yet) no way like a PoP game and the way they 'modified' the Prince made him more like Altair than a price! So, I think, this is the beggining of the end for the PoP that I used to love!
Wwo that was a big comment, i migh tren tthis game.
