Trust me these PC companies value their business far more than you and your PC master race friends. If a dev wants to make money and survive they NEED to make their games available on consoles.

Not consoles are holding back pc's, users with potato pc's are holding back pc's.
Almost no profit oriented company would develop games only targeted at highend pc's.

I remember when STALKER 2 was initially announced like 6 years ago it was going to be on PS3 / 360 so I'd assume since GSC finally got itself together and got this started up again that it would be on consoles as well.

I'm glad another series is getting an unexpected sequel, but the last time this was in development it was cancelled two years later. I would have waited until closer to 2021, because if something goes wrong again that's not a good look for a game if it eventually came out.

I was going to try out some of the Stalker games on Steam, but I had read numerous times that all of the Stalker games are buggy as hell, and the user interface is terrible. Perhaps if this game does things better I'll give it a go, but I'll have to wait for the reviews before I take a chance.

Pleasantly surprised for a STALKER 2! As for the release date, you hear about movies getting release dates 3 years out, but it's a bit unusual for a game. The developer must have been so excited with the go ahead that they couldn't contain their excitement. Can't wait!
