I feel only Mankind Divided has done better, the Deus ex series wouldn’t have been put in hiatus. Eidos Montreal is wrapping up development (with Crystal Dynamics co-developing) of Shadow of The Tomb Raider. The studios is also doing a licensed Marvel game. I wonder what the unannounced Eidos Montreal project is, maybe the studio could be developing the rumoured Perfect Dark reboot?

Razmiran2178d ago

Isnt the marvel game a crystal dynamics project?

Sciurus_vulgaris2178d ago (Edited 2178d ago )

In their are separate marvel games being made by Square-Enix

Razmiran2178d ago

Ah, I thought it was just the avengers one and thats why Eidos Montreal was doing Tomb Raider instead of CD

Gwiz2178d ago

Well that's what happens when you add tier pre-order bonus (pretty much putting all blame of less content on the consumer)

Derceto2178d ago

Doesn't matter if it's dead, so long as SquareEnix has their filthy paws in it and turning it into a commercial disaster. If SE keeps their mitts to themselves, maybe Eidos can deliver something along the lines of HR once again.

Fist4achin2178d ago

I have not played MD yet. I picked it up cheap around the holidays. I loved hR. I hope this series continues.

Razmiran2178d ago

Its good on the gameplay front, better than HR
But there is less variety and the story is, uh, of small scope

Gwiz2178d ago

Maybe not dead, but no way releasing on this gen of consoles.(working on a secret game means they're not working on a Deus Ex project and that could only mean no way a game will be released before 2022)

I did enjoy the Mankind Divided, but i feel it's much easier than Human Revolution, now playing it on Permadeath mode ("I didn't ask for this", i believe) and no problems so far, at G.A.R.M. facility now. Feel like Remote Hacking made game too easy, no more worries about cameras, turrets, bots or drones, just hack them (which is very easy to do) and you have 30 seconds to do what you want.

And i would gladly buy the next game, if they wouldn't add another "Breach" mode with lootboxes. Not enjoying Breach mode at all.

Breach is the stuff nightmares are made of
Annoying nightmares, not scary ones

The only PlayStation dev I care about tbh.

Cacabunga17h ago

Hopefully doesn’t take them a complete gen to release it

TheColbertinator11h ago

Good. Something not boring, not one of those "make your own game" crap and also on Steam would be nice.

I too like to look for things in the wrong places.

"the capital group of PCF Group S.A."

If you're getting funding from a group that needs two different ways of Acronyming itself, things will not go the way you want them to.

If it was more online-only crap then good riddance.

jjb19811d 1h ago

Outriders was crap. They slapped that game together and threw in a loot system to get players' attention. This game was absolutely jank and the always online nonsense made it stutter like crazy. People Can't Optimize.

thorstein1d ago

I liked Outriders but I could see where the artistic vision was compromised. The way the industry is now, it wouldn't surprise me that upper management would scrap something that didn't pull in money via gaas, mts, or other means.

Escape from Tarkov Unheard Edition Reneges on Promised Content Behind $250 Price Tag

The new Escape from Tarkov Unheard Edition has the community in an outrage after promising exclusive access to the new PvE mode for $250 USD.

Christopher1d 14h ago

$250? Do they not know all the other games that already exist or will be made in the future that can do similar?

SimpleDad1d 5h ago (Edited 1d 5h ago )

This is for the hardcore people that have 2500 h in the game. They basically play that one game the whole year.
Oh and those same people are mad as hell at this... what a way to reward fans of your game and annihilate newcomers.

Read a comment earlier calling it a "special monetization operation." I had to chuckle at that.
