Kratos is still the same character, but with a much more dynamic range of emotions. Might be in a minority here but I didn't enjoy any of the sections playing as Atreus or having companions at all. If I had my way it'd be Kratos on his lonesome from start to finish. Straightforward action gameplay without the endless boring chatter.
I like Kratos in God Of War Trilogy, but this one make me feel for him deeply. A broken person who has been tricked by Ares and the gods didn’t make him a promise. So much pain and suffer that Kratos has enough and kill every Greek gods for betraying him and never make a promise. Until he realized that he destroyed the Greek world. In Norse world, he has a family. Kratos never change who he was, but his son can. Kratos is not looking for redemption or neither hero, but he will find small fraction of humanity inside him.
Maybe he'll run for president in the USA as time takes it's course?! Just a couple thousand more years to go...
They've changed gaming in general. This game will serve as a benchmark for future games.
Ehhhhhhh no. This new game has some good moments but as a whole SSM really limited themselves in delivering a good narrative by doing the whole "one shot 📷 camera" thing. It left the story more to exposition rather than SHOWING us the story. It was a poor choice.
I'm in awe if this story and it's amazing how far he has come as a man!
