I'm glad I pre ordered as well. I was a bit gun shy. GOW3 was brilliant, ascension was a bunch of reasons to use a slide mechanic in game. Lol. I really wasn't feeling the no jump kratos but it does lend to a more personal feel. My only fear now is I may not be able to scoop up the collectors ed.

I knew God of War would be spectacular, all the amazing previews and Sony's extreme confidence, but reading about Cory and how he's grown as a storyteller and game developer was the main thing.

Cory left early in the development of God of War 3 and his time away allowed him to grow and to rediscover his passion for gaming. He worked with George Miller (Mad Max) and received a master class in storytelling and character development. I knew God of War was in good hands with Cory Barlog and it's great to see all the risk pay off.

Ever since I got a PS4 and an XB1, it just feels awesome to have the variety of games to play. I know XB1 hasn't had any killer games for a while but I really love Halo 5 and Gears of war 4 so much that I can wait. In the meantime PS4's killer lineup is keeping me occupied so it's never a dull moment for me.

Honestly I would encourage people to invest in a standard XB1/PS4 (assuming you even remotely care about games on both consoles) instead of getting a PS4 Pro or an Xbox One X. Instead of upgrading to a $500 XB1X i decided to get a PS4 for $240 and it was the best decision I made. Now it just makes me laugh seeing fanboys arguing over their loyal plastic purchases. At the end of the day they're products and everyone has the same options. You could also make other combos with the Switch or PC.

What a surprise another paid for review from IGN ! The changes made to this game to make it more personal and tender are all in an effort to try and recapture the outstanding preformance by Naughty Dogs TLOU in doing so they lose the grandiose that was GOW ! Kratos is now tame and reduded to baby sitter, gone are his signature chain blades and he's been given this lame ass Ax. I for one don't see the huge changes to this game as an improvement NO I see them as a game developer chasing aclaim by trying to make thier game into what it was never meant to be. Sorry I'll save my money for the real TLOU and not a knock off.

So reviewers are telling me this game is perfect, no issues what's so ever 🤔...I predicted it was going to get a 10. most Sony games get reviewed as if they are the second coming of Christ lol nothing new...Is god of war a good game I am pretty sure it is..is it a perfect game I highly doubt that. Does it do anything new that raised the bar for action adventure games I doubt it. But somehow it's perfect 😂....gears 4 had a very good story, a father a son story as well with well Crafted cutscenes and emotional moments excellent gun play with an excellent multiplayer but I guess that's wasn't enough for a 9 or a 10 😂...the media bias is clear as day idk why people try to deny it....gears did everything god of war is doing with MP as sprinkle on top yet somehow reviewers said it is another shooter 😂.. again I am not saying GOW is a bad game I am sure it's excellent but I highly doubt it's a perfect game to get a 10. from what I observe so far it's another hack n slash game with a much weaker kratos basically a last of is clone
