Should You Buy Gears of War 3 on Xbox One X?

MS gifted gears 3 to me, for owning the previous installments pretty fucking nice of them, and a very solid game per usual for gears.

I was given 2 sets of codes for Gears of War (1-3 & judgement) due buying Gears UE and 4. Oddly Microsoft then gifted me a third set. I kept one set of gears codes for myself and gave the other 2 away. One of my friends got pretty into horde after playing through Gears 1-3 and Judgement because of the codes I gave him, he also went out and bought Gears of War 4.

Me too. As a freebie for my X, I was like “Nice, I’ll take it.” It looks really good, but I don’t know if I’d buy it outright. Again, it DOES look good.

Does the multiplayer framerate hold up? I know the f2p servers do in fact hold up unless the host leaves and then we all gotta reestablishes for a sec

That's because there are no servers its p2p and is the reason you can still play it online

I haven't! New to the Xbox brand with a one x... I've beat 4 and the remaster of 1...still need to play 2,3 and Judgement. I've just had too much to play lately.

Game Pass, you'll have a lot to play, 'specially with the X, including 2,3. By all means buy them from the store if you want, support the developers, publisher, Microsoft and what not.

Right, but you can’t “buy” an. Box 1 version. You buy the 360 game and it gets updated.

There’s only one version of the game, what changes it is the actual console you play it on.

You’re still going to the XB store on your XB1 X and buying a enhanced version of the game. The difference is very noticeable

I own it, plus it's on Game Pass, but haven't re-downloaded it yet. I tried downloading Gears 4, but then realized it's over 100 GB. I have a bandwidth limit of 500 GB, so that got shutdown quick. Maybe I'll get Gears 3 again after my bandwidth resets.

You should not BUY Gears 3 from anything but the bargain bin. I got it day one after previously being in the beta. A letdown for sure. Gears one and 2 simply should have been the end. Better yet just ditch the single player altogether and make a $30 Online only gears where it’s simply all multiplayer. Not to mention how fast the rooms decreased. Would wait for a looong time to get a room just to have nobody join and play with 3v2s

Its one of the best third person shooters of all time. Yes buy it for Xbox 360, Xbox One, or Xbox One X!
