I would definitely add Hollow Knight and Sunless Seas to this list

You can play most games from Steam and other services on laptops and low-end desktops. That's why I never bothered to spring for a high-end device. I did settle on a laptop with two graphics cards including a Radeon chip in case I want to play something a little more graphic intensive, but I can tell you exactly what most of my Steam games look like. Let's just say they generally don't even come close to taxing the hardware I have, and it's nowhere near high-end.

Being that you could probably throw a PC together, with something as modest as a 680 and an i5, for around $600 or so, and that will play essentially anything you throw at it fairly well ... what constitutes a "low-end" PC anymore?

4 GB RAM, 2-core CPU, integrated graphics (no card), 5400-rpm hard drive. Lots of cheap laptops still sold fit that description.

Basically pre-built systems you buy at shops that will have half that power.. lol

I remember walking around a Best Buy back when Force Unleashed came out. They had the thing running on a 1300 "gaming build" they had out. The thing was chugging at 1080p.
