Studio Ghibli did not work on this game. They worked on the original NnK. There was some involvement with a couple of its people, though. And the game is beautiful most of the time. I don't care for the Chibi diorama overworld. I wish they had kept it the same style and full scale throughout. Some aspects would have been harder to handle that way, though, like army battles and world building. So I will defer to their artistic judgment.

So far, this game is amazing, criticisms aside. It is also technically adept, with nary a hiccup from 60 fps on a mid-tier game PC, and beautifully rendered and perfectly antialiased cartoony graphics in the Ghibli style.
