The box art has been revealed for the console releases of Soul Calibur VI.

I don’t mind the cover art, but it’s nothing special. At least it’s better than the SC1 cover art for Dreamcast, which was waaay too yellow for my liking.
Not that it matters, the box art isn’t going to stop me buying this game day 1.

how many guest characters are there in a soul caliber game? because Geralt on the cover implies many.

Why do you say that?

Soul Calibur games usually put whatever guest character on the cover that is on that particular system.

Most Soul Calibur games have a different character for each system it releases on. I believe 4 had Starkiller on both systems but then Xbox got Yoda and PS3 got Vader. But each system has their corresponding character on the cover. Same with SC2. There were 3 total, one on each system. Spawn, Link, and Heihachi. Each system has their corresponding character on the cover. Also, SC5 had Ezio across all platforms and he was on the cover for all consoles. He was also the only guest in that game.

If anything, the fact that Geralt is on both the PS4 and Xbox cover, it makes me feel like he is the only guest character across all platforms.
