Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy was recently announced for the Nintendo Switch. The game will be released on a variety of different platforms now including the Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch after launching as a PS4 Console Exclusive last year.

if they can get this to a locked 30fps, then it's gonna be the ultimate version for me regardless of any visual downgrades. Those time trial modes were insane fun on the PS4 and they're literally perfect for quick little sessions on the go. Get it to 30fps and it'll be great.

Where did you read that it has a few downgrades while being portable and not docked? Cause the article doesn't say. What if it's while it's docked then gets a few more downgrades while portable.

Look this game is not some graphic powerhouse. The switch should be able to run this game with ease. But more then likely it is going to suffer downgrades and frame rate problems not only portable, but more then likely docked too.

The switch is a 9th gen console and it's a massive downgrade from a ps4 which is a 8th gen console. The switch is even a downgrade to the ps3 so expect all their games to be of lower quality.

It's ridiculous what some people complain about, i could have bought a 4k monitor for my PC, but i went 2560 x 1440 165hz Gsync instead for the much smoother performance. It's all about choices. Switch does decently for a portable machine you can play anywhere, of course it's gonna have a some downgrades in visuals.

the differences aren’t that huge between them. obviously the switch version is downgraded, but that’s to be expected with a less powerful model.

If they want to call this a Home console they're going to have to deal with all the scrutiny that comes with being compared to other Home consoles.

I don't think it makes sense to try to want the attention of having it called the Home console yet not wanting any of the scrutiny of it being the weakest under the Geist of it being portable despite also trying to use Home console as a way to put it in the conversation of other systems, I mean either the damn thing is a Home console or it's not ,I don't understand why this community wants it both ways to argue a narrative.

So if it's a portable which by default means it's going to be limited by what it could do graphically then clearly it needs to fit the category of portable and people need to stop trying to use the term Home console to try to force it with the other systems yet get mad when people start to bring up its inferiority.

No one is arguing that the Switch has lower specs, no matter how many times you keep repeating it, over and over again. It's known, everyone has accepted this fact. The issue is why an article that states the obvious? Especially when it's even minor like lighting.

Because the PSP and 3DS were never this close in visuals to their console counterparts at that time. I think if lighting and maybe some lower framerates for any multiplat game on Switch is the only sacrifice then that's pretty damn good imo.

as much as i love the switch i dont think it has the legs to last til it goes wiiu and only gets 1st party games only.
its getting good 3rd party support at the moment mainly remasters and ports than anything which isnt a bad thing as mostly from this gen it gets ports.
and yes this is my opinion but just how i feel about it. i hope it doesnt lose support ect but in next few years whos to say how the switch will hold up.
fingers crossed it can lst awhile even with downgrades to games that we knew was going to happen to it due to less power to the home consoles

Let me just say the switch has not took a step bk in graphics that is insane the switch has geforce graphics also switch has been more a less matching ps4 in graphics so far on every game that I have seen and this is the switch's 1st year,the ps4 has been out for about 5 years so basically look at games 4 to 5 years ago on ps4 and xbox 1 and compare them to now and you will see that ps4 and xbox 1 had huge issues with frame rates and resolutions and graphics in general that developers later resolved years down the line,so comparing switch's 1st year performance to there 5th year is unfair...

So if anything the switch graphics are prob better....
