still no achievements on switch .... :(

PhantomS422296d ago

Seeing as they don't add anything to games, it's fine.

gamer78042296d ago

By definition that is false though. See reply below for additional info.

Neonridr2296d ago

yeah, plenty of companies fake additional length through achievements. Because sometimes you have to grind out activities over and over again in order to achieve something. That's gameplay value right? right?

smh

Neonridr2296d ago

oh no, how will we live our lives or enjoy games if we can't get a ding every so often?

gamer78042296d ago

It's a great way to track progress in games and see where friends are at. It's a huge deal for many gamers and I don't see how any modern gaming system wouldn't have them.

Neonridr2296d ago (Edited 2296d ago )

@gamer7804 - while it's a nifty little feature, it's hardly required. It just irks me when people actually use this as a reason to knock something. Do you really need an achievement to show that you killed 500,000 people in Multiplayer or something?

Still gotta play this series

Shiken2296d ago

I am one of the lucky few that gets to play these while awaiting Bayo 3. I handled GoW 1, 2, and 3 in a similar fashion as well. Playing a trilogy back to back to back is nothing short of fantastic.

maybelovehate2296d ago

So basically we get a much worse version of Bayonetta than we got on PC. Just give us B2 on PC, Switch is under powered nonsense.

Concertoine2296d ago

Arguably better since the nintendo costumes are exclusive to the Switch and Wii U version.

Outlawzz2296d ago

The day that Nintendo releases games for PC is the day that they may consider allowing the release of bayo 2. Their on mobile platforms so maybe in a few years they'll go for the PC crowd too. Just play on emulators until then

FancyMudkip2296d ago

"Their on mobile platforms so maybe in a few years they'll go for the PC crowd too. " You do realize that's never going to happen, right? That would actually be a very bad move on Nintendo's part which can destroy the reason of owning a Switch at all. Yeah, they're putting games on mobile platforms, hence now they have just announced Mario Kart Tour, but do not expect them to support the PC crowd as well, unless nintendo say that they are going third-party that is, which won't happen anytime soon given the Switch's success.

marloc_x2296d ago

..the Switch is the size of an Archie comic..

quent2296d ago

Maybe tone down the PCMR a bit, you only further the stereotype for the rest of us pc gamers, also if you've gamed on pc long enough you should know better by now and not trash talk on a system 1/50 the size of a pc, people don't take into consideration just how much power is put into such a small from factor, remember those big and bulky overheating 7th gen consoles that were always breaking down, yeah that little nintendo tablet has 4x time those systems power at a fraction of the size, runs cool and you have the option to GAME anywhere, sink in yet ?

maybelovehate2296d ago

I own a Switch. I own a PC. I want to play on PC. End of story.

Prince_TFK2296d ago

Nintendo basically paid for Bayonetta 2. So...
