Something really off about the lighting in this game. It is a shame. The world's and creatures are so well imagined but the game just doesn't look right. Don't get me wrong, I love the game, but there is something really off with the presentation which I feel is due to the lighting.

This is especially evident in HDR mode. Still a must have game regardless, but I hope they can fix the lighting issue. As for the modes, graphical mode looks the best, but not worth the reduced responsiveness compared to framerate mode.

Have you gone into the options for the game? I know for the HDR mode, there is a lighting and colour slider you can adjust. Perhaps tweaking those a little will get the game better suited to your liking?

Tried every combination, just really weird and off lighting in general.

shut off hdr in your settings on xbox not in the game and see if that fixes it, if so then they need to patch it, forza horizon 3 also has a hdr issue which makes things look either to dark or too bright and they are working on a patch

I noticed it also, it’s like everything has a glow or shine to it.

Just disable HDR In the Xbox settings the game looks much better.
HDR Is poorly Implemented In this game.

God I was hoping Capcom fix the high brightness in Hdr by now. Night time scenes look gorgeous. But when that sun comes up it looks totally washed out.

A Late Look: Monster Hunter: World

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "While it was a mixed pleasure overall - at times exhilarating, at others agonizing - I would have to say I enjoyed my time with Monster Hunter: World and found it to be surprisingly addicting. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that I was surprised by how little had changed from previous titles, given how this particular entry took the series to unheard levels of popularity, but while it retains both positives and negatives from them, at the very least it’s a stellar-looking game that brings more freedom to the hunt than any of its predecessors (Monster Hunter Rise could possibly be a different story, but that, my friends, is a game for another article)."
