TIGW writes: "Basing its main storyline on the classic novel Moby Dick, Nantucket takes us back to the whale hunting era of the first half of the 19th century."
BacklogCritic: "A simple premise, built on a randomly-generated event mechanic makes each time you play unique. Combined with a storyline that lends itself to joyful exploration, all these elements really give Nantucket the potential to be one of the best strategy simulator games to come out in 2018."
MonsterVine: "Moby Dick needs a sequel the way Hamlet needs a sequel, but this is a world where Hamlet 2 exists, so gather ‘round the ol’ PC and let’s find out what happened to old Ishmael. "
Michael at Skewed and Reviewed has posted a glowing review for the Indie game Nantucket. He liked the concept and play of the game but said some of the aspects like time taken to sail to a locale were a bit much.
