The closest thing you'll find to playing the TV anime series?

No it isn't. Budakai Tenkaichi 2 and 3 hold that title.

Fighter Z is tons of fun though! Just the fact that you can't transform during matches unless its part of a special move and also that its mostly ground based fighting makes it feel less like the show.

But again, still an excellent game and I cant wait for the full version Friday!

Sure if you want to leave combat out the door. Looks awful, and that is arguably half the premise of DragonBallZ ...

Playing dress up and roleplaying with utterly snooze fest gameplay is what DB games have been about ever since the end of Budokai 3, don’t sit and tell us that the later games looks even half as good as this one, let alone have the gameplay to match.

The only thing people are crying about is they can’t play dress up and do transformations anymore, then again those people don’t play fighting games anyway. Leave that cringe where it belongs tbh.

I can't tell if you're agreeing with me or not lol.

But I agree that Xenoverse was overrated. (I assume you are talking about that since its the only DBZ game where you can play dress up)

Fighter Z is an awesome game. No doubt about it. But it certainly does not feel more like playing an episode of DBZ than Budokai Tenkaichi 2 and 3. Those games nailed it.

Any DBZ game that has 80% of the combat taking place on the ground is not being faithful to the show. Also, being allowed to use any transformation at any time during the match and staying in that form. That is DBZ.

Again, I'm not knocking the original Budokai games or Fighter Z. They are all great. But if we are talking about what game is the king of capturing the feel of the show's combat then Tenkaichi 2 and 3 wins.

Budokai Tenkaichi 2 and 3 is a good game but as a fighting game, it does not come close to Dragon ball FighterZ. Thats a fact.

I'm only commenting on the statement that Fighter Z is the closest you can feel to playing an episode of DBZ. It isn't. Plain and simple.

As a full on fighting game, sure, Fighter Z is more traditional.

Is it mean but the cut scenes is a little delayed when their conversing? I know its giving players time to read, but its a bit annoying.

I'm going to wait till it hits the bargain bin like I do with most fighting games but "The closest thing you'll find to playing the TV anime series" is complete BS Burst Limit and Budokai 3 come closer to the anime than this game. No in game transformations no controlled flight or beam struggles it's cool if you like Arc System but don't act DBZ doesn't have good or better games.
