PUBG Announces 30 Million Players Across PC and Xbox One

PUBG Corp. just announced via press release that PLAYERUNKNOWN's Battlegrounds has now over 30 million players across PC and Xbox One platforms globally.

@@ DialgaMarine - or PUBG isn't really that good. It's lacking in content and gets boring really fast. It's an ok game but it's got a bunch of bugs still as well.

I think people are getting way too hyped about a broken game....it's going to lead people to praising games that never get finished and end up in Beta for life.

This game only got an "official" release for STEAM because you can't charge full price money for XB1 and have it be in "early access" on STEAM.

This is a console exclusive, just like TombRaider was a exclusive, just like CoD had DLC exclusives. If it doesn't say OnlyOnPlaystation or Only on Xbox it's probably gonna be available at some time on another console. M$ fans need to stop whining that the one game they'd like to be only for them will eventually cross that road to Sony's theme park. This was posted the day before the X release date, directly from MS. The Bluehole CEO also said this the day this allegedly became a "console exclusive":

We know based on a few days ago that the Xbox version has minimum of 1 million sold, maybe a bit more at this point, so of course the majority are on PC, especially given it’s been out so much longer on PC and like a week on Xbox

If you used some common sense, you would realize that with the PS4 install base being so much more significant than XBox, they can't wait to get it on PS4.

Its taken this long to get right on pc.. so much hate on xbox, after only 2 weeks with no beta test at least it works. Ive known full price games with totally broken online and taken weeks to fix.

Damn that’s crazy. I have it on the One X. It’s obviously got some issues (much better after the first patch but still issues) but man is it a blast. It’s easy to forgive the lack of polish when you’re in a fantastic match. Still. I really want them to polish and optimize. It will hands down be a must have at that point.

The game runs pretty smoothly on high end PCs, I get a constant 60+ fps at 1440p. I don't mind paying $30 to join in with what all of my friends are playing and I definitely feel like I got good value from that purchase seeing as I have 121 hours played.

I understand what you mean though and I wouldn't recommend anyone pick it up if they don't have a strong PC.
