There is one hook in the Curse of Osiris that has grabbed hold in a way not felt from Destiny in a long time. In Curse of Osiris there is a weapon forge quest line. Guardians accomplishments are represented by a handy wall with a circle of smaller circles that will light up with the appropriate symbol as each weapon is forged. It makes for a fun visual and a handy way to keep up with the excruciating grind.
A few weeks ago Destiny 2: Into the Light released its highly anticipated raid boss rush mode, Pantheon. At release it was something I was cautiously optimistic about. As fun as the mode was, the overall response from the community, and reward structure left it in an unusual position. With all of the Pantheon stages now available, I wanted to touch on my experiences with the unusual mode. - IS
While the good arguably outweighs the bad, there are still some valid concerns about Destiny 2’s approach to reversing weapon sunsetting.
Destiny 2's meta is ever-shifting, and a recent Exotic went from overlooked to must-have very fast.
good hook? lol. These weapons require you to grind out the most menial tasks possible to acquire the materials needed for forging these weapons. No offense, but having to do hours of public events over and over again just to get the mats needed is not my idea of a good hook. It's Bungie's way of forcing us to do the same thing over and over again. And even then the drop rate is stupid low.
To each their own though..
I am enjoying the added grind personally. Much better than farming for the exotic swords in Destiny 1 haha.
For people complaining about a grind, just mix up what you do(strikes, patrol/public events, raid, and PvP). Stop acting like you need to do one thing nonstop if it's boring to you. Pace yourself, mix it up, or go play something else.
