Yes Japanese dialogue option is needed!!

Nyxus2363d ago

That would be a welcome addition!

Skull5212363d ago

I hope Tom Cruise is in it!

@skulls
Wrong era but welcomed nonetheless

UltraNova2363d ago

As much as I like Tom after Nioh I dont want Western leada in Japanese era games they just don't fit.

Yea, it would add a lot of immersion.

P_Bomb2363d ago

Works great in Yakuza. Nioh had some Japanese VO too iirc. Adds credibility and authenticity. Wish Assassin’s Creed did this year’s ago, instead of filling France with British accents.

_-EDMIX-_2363d ago

Absolutely agreed and my personal opinion is by default that is the series that would even need to be having all the accurate accents based on the actual concept of the Assassin Creed games in the first place.

It's like I understand they can't have all the historical accuracies all up to date but dear God it can't be that hard to just get the accent of the people correct.

Magic_Spatula2363d ago

That's one of the many things that bothered me about Unity. They're French. Why doesn't a single one of them speak with a French accent. And isn't Ubisoft a French company, (well, French-Canadian I believe) and isn't the CEO of Ubisoft French? Made no damn sense.

Eamon2363d ago

AC Unity just needed English speakers with french accents. Like they did with the previous games using Italian or Arab accents.

DrumBeat2363d ago

At the forefront of my mind it is.

ILostMyMind2362d ago

Master Yoda very proud is now.

It’s seem Sucker Punch is respecting Japan history and culture.

Ashlen2363d ago

I can't wait for this game, it's going to be so good. I can't believe how much Sony has knocked it out of the park this gen.

morganfell2363d ago

"Connell loves samurai movies, and many of them are set during the Edo period. The reference material for costumes and characters for that era is awesome, which makes him very excited to work on it."

But this game isn't set in the Edo period. It is roughly 330 years prior. The Edo period coincides with the Third Shogunate - the beginning of the rule of the Tokugawa Clan's in 1603 following Ieyasu's consolidation of power after the Battle of Sekigahara.

Sam Fisher2363d ago

Yup, this era is a very bloody era. Hope this game captures the grittyness. So far the trailer showed was dark, so fingers crossed 🤞
