WWE videogames, for the most part, have always focused on right now. The big draw of games like SmackDown Vs. Raw is being able to re-create the show you see on TV every week – that means the latest arenas, the latest wrestlers and the latest everything else.
The WWE and pro wrestling in general have been around for years, though, which is why a game like Legends of WrestleMania is long overdue. Everyone…well, not everyone, but there are plenty of not-quite-old folks in the audience who remember the '80s and '90s, so it's great to look forward to a game that lets gamers re-create those classic shows from back in the day.
This weekend is WrestleMania XXX,and with the celebration underway Nerds on the Rocks decides to checkout the Top 7 wrestling game bearing the event's name. From the NES to the PlayStation 2, the brand has extended through generations of gaming consoles.
THQ Tank has confirmed on his twitter account that THQ has no plans right now to release a sequel to Legends of WrestleMania.
