Cool. I'm waiting on it just cuz I have a lot of games to play right now. Hoping to pick it up for $20 at some point.

It reminds me of NFS The Run which I really enjoyed.

Retroman2367d ago (Edited 2367d ago )

This crap Hardly remind me of "The Run" bad as the run was it's 10 times better than payback , 2015 reboot, rivals , 2012 mostwanted. Only Decent NFS as of late was 2010 Hotpursuit and drifting each corner made 2010 Hotpursuit undesirable .
Watched longplay NFS 2,3, Highstakes on youtube today . dang i miss simple select car and exotic tracks NFS without All the BS it has now . Evolution will kill NFS if not done right , so far Evolution is Killing NFS original formula. NFS these days is a combination of The Crew,Forza, Juiced,Burnout , Colin Mcrea Dirt, touch of GT
Where is Need for Speed ?
put a All Bulletin Board search for missing Formula . Last experience it 2000 Hotpursuit 2, 2002 Underground, 2003 Underground 2, 2005 Mostwanted .
I rather ghost games take a looooong serious look at the original formula Ea Canada created up-grade the first 7 games with Frostbyte engine.

NFS, has always been a B/C list racer when it comes to the story. It was always cheesy, so when you look at that and then play the game, I feel the mechanics of Underground (drag racing), Carbon (drifting), Most Wanted (racing/point to point) and then the offroad mechanics is their experiment and it isn't too bad itself. The game is interesting for what it was. I paid 25$ for it, so I think I'm getting my money's worth. And seeing that they ripped alot of elements from The Crew (car customization), you'll fall at home in that aspect of random car parts unlocking and then if you played the crew, you'll see where the rolling the parts to hopefully get a better part comes into play (the gambling aspect what people are complaining about). I think it's a pretty good arcade racer like an 8/10, the more I play it the better the game seems to get to me haha, like at first I had it at a 7/10.

Can’t be upset with this one.

Terry_B1335d ago

Some people are always upset..no matter what they get

Retroman1335d ago

N4S payback was Craptastic to it's fullest.........just as Heat is.

sushimama1336d ago

Excellent. Never played Vampyr

FanboySpotter1335d ago

You go by metacritic so you're not gonna enjoy that game unfortunately.

CobraKai1335d ago

That’s why you don’t go by metacritic.

Final_Aeon1335d ago

It goes both ways - it could be a warning against trying a subpar game. Or, like in quite a few cases media outlets docked it too many points for small imperfections. I'm also looking forward to playing Vampyr.

Hakuoro1335d ago (Edited 1335d ago )

That's funny because I remember people talking it up when it was one of the games on game pass.

I guess what console it's on decides if it's fun or not.

sushimama1335d ago

It's above 70%.... worth a try

sushimama1335d ago

On second thought, to be honest, maybe I won't try it out. Not the greatest month this month.

Gaming4Life19811335d ago

😭damn that had to be a slap in the for sushimama after their post on the xbox article.

Vampyr was on my radar and then i played on gamepass and it wasnt good to me but lots of people like it and its free so everyone should at least try it.

I thoroughly enjoyed Vampyr. But, lots of people have specific things they're critical of and it's not perfect at anything. So, who knows.

I like that I can try a NFS game w/o paying more than I already do per month for it. I doubt I'll like it, but, at least it's there to try.

Gaming4Life19811335d ago (Edited 1335d ago )

NFS payback sucks but hey its free so give it a try you might like .

Yea i thought vampyr was pretty bad and i love vampires but i just could not find anything good about it. We need a new legacy of kain and soul reaver.

Kurt Russell1335d ago

It's not a great one, I played a fair bit of it myself... It's playable is all I can really say.

Relientk771336d ago

I absolutely loved Vampyr. It's an underrated gem. The combat can be kind of clunky, but the story, characters, setting, abilities, and everything else is great.

RazzerRedux1335d ago

Was a very good game. Just needed more a-hole NPCs that I didn't mind killing to level up.

Spenok1335d ago

That's the point though! They can't make it too easy to kill just anyone (unless you're just a self absorbed a-hole yourself).

RazzerRedux1335d ago (Edited 1335d ago )

"They can't make it too easy to kill just anyone"

And that isn't what I said. Come back after you actually played the game and then talk about it.

Spenok1335d ago

I've been wanting to play this since it launched. Never got around to it though. So this is a really nice treat.

TheColbertinator1335d ago

Payback was awful. Worst NFS game this gen.

LiViNgLeGaCY1335d ago

Many people say the exact opposite.
