So basically the author doesn't like most mmos, got it. Even ffxiv story is lackluster and interacting with other players can be minimal, but like all mmos the experience is what you and your friends make of it.

Many people would much rather take short cuts by using real money rather than actually play the game and grind for your stuff. Quite sad if you ask me.

its pay2win in Korea as far as am aware, everything on US/EU is mostly cosmetic there is a few things like extra weight carry limit or XP buff's but the game costs like £4 on PC and the subscription (if u can call it a sub) is optional, You get free subs just from logging in to the game, if you havent played it for awhile, i got 3 weeks worth, not paid for anything since paying £6 for it few months ago.

and XP buffs mostly come from events or just playing the game so its not like you have to buy them, the cosmetic though are overpriced, you have to spend a min of £28 for one costume. which i would never pay.

I am extremely excited for it. Been wanting to pay it ever since i saw the beta videos on youtube. And i was stoked when they announced it for the X. Man i cant wait!

Believe me, any Korean mmorpg is trash. They are free games so they can pull people in, then a whole bunch of unfair mechanisms force people go for microtransactions or the game is unplayable. In such games free players are what give paying-players the joy to be superior -- in looks, gears, ablities, because those are what MT means.
I actually cannot believe trashes like a Korean mmorpg could earn so much attention from you European/Amercian players, I thought they are only popular in regions like China, where many gullible and at the same time rich people play such games.
