"He explained that it just felt like Monster Hunter World doesn't need that kind of system. "You've already kind of got loot as a core gameplay aspect without having to shove a microtransaction version of it in, Our focus is on wanting to get people to play our action game and feel the kind of satisfaction that comes with the achievement you get with completing a hunt and getting rewards. We want people to have the experience that we've made for them rather than the option to skip the experience. "Tsujimoto said."

That's all I needed to know. Publishers/developers need to realize that microtransactions or loot boxes are devaluing the effort that went into their games and makes the experience as a whole feel unrewarding for the player. Keep this BS out of our games.

Thanks Capcom for not putting MT or loot boxes in Monster Hunter World. Day 1 for me.

I completely agree. This is a great move, PR wise. I’m sure it’ll pay off in sales. I’m definitely supporting it.

Yep MH World is a likely purchase for me. Looks to be a fun game.

ocelot072383d ago

Agreed hell ill buy the most expensive version of the game due to the no MS or gambling boxes BS.

Day one, no doubt! Definitely want to support devs like this, plus the game looks great and I'm so glad it's finally coming back to home consoles.

Great on you mh devs, sad many companies think the opposite for their games. Hope they release free dlc like the previous titles, I do have a feeling they there will be paid dlc though since its on the big consoles and pc.

Jinger2383d ago

Whether they are there or not, I don't care. I'm not gunna buy them regardless.

xX-oldboy-Xx2383d ago

How can you buy them if they aren't there?

Did you mean you'll buy the game if they are there or not?

Jinger2383d ago (Edited 2383d ago )

I'm saying I don't care if they ended up adding them, I won't buy the Loot Boxes or MT's anyway. if they were there I would still buy the game and enjoy it.

justsomeoffdude2383d ago

Even though i'm not a fan of these kind of games, knowing that I don't have to depend on MTs to get certain stuff in the game, I just may buy this.. afterall almost ALL other games coming out between now and jan 2018 all seem to have MTs implemented 1 way or the other. Good job CAPCOM.
