Polyphony Digital have been away for a while but came smashing back in a dual release on PS4 and Pro which I covered in detail last week.
The original PSVR has a great catalogue of games, but keeping the set-up working well can be a pain.
On the day that Gran Turismo Sport’s online services are switched off for good, a reflection on how impactful the game was for the sim racing industry.
fantastic game
innovative match making with player ettiquite tasked into account
GT7 improves on it with:
all the same tracks + loads more tracks
all the same cars + loads more cars
improved / new physics
dualsense support + haptics for road bumps
improved lighting + weather changable mid race
much more vast one player races, challenges, leagues etc.
more of an iteration than a revelation, but what they improve, they have improved so drastically it is deffo worth getting.
GT Sport, like Gran Turismo 7, requires internet to save. But now that its servers are going dark, that requirement is being removed.
Looks ok. Bet the immersion is dope
I sold my psvr, super missing it and totally regret my decision to sell :(
Funniest thing, I was super excited about GT Sport VR experience, but then I bought the game, and have yet to even go to Arcade mode let alone VR. I've been in GT Sport since day 1 for about 5 hours a day excluding this week because we are launching an app so my life is this app this week lOl. But yeah, this game is so freaking good on my LG B6 + PS4 Pro that I didn't even boot it up in VR yet. lOl.
