Microsoft intends to make VR waves with the Windows Mixed Reality platform.
Today the Halo Livestream unleashed a torrent of news bits, updates, and insight on a pretty diverse range of topics near and dear to a Halo fan’s heart – including Halo 5’s Overtime content update, important Halo esports info, and news on Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Plus, the release of Xbox One X in just a few weeks will usher in a new way to experience some of your favorite Halo titles making them look and play better than ever before.
Get out of this MLG crap and focus on the game being fun. When Blizzard made overwatch they didn't make it for MLG, they made it fun first and it naturally just become the biggest MLG shooter.Start by making Halo actually play distintically again and not having ADS,Sprint, etc. so its just another clone of another fps
I miss the iconic maps and space jumps that made halo
Improvements and updates to fix long standing issues with MCC three years post launch is not acceptable and not something I think they should be praised for. Enhancements yes, but resolving faults, absolutely not.
"It’s painfully short, unfortunately: perhaps ten waves at best. And like trying to pop balloons with a pellet gun at a carnival ride, none of your targets fight back. They also don’t come in from your flanks or attack you from behind. You don’t even have to engage your brain, thinking about when to reload – its endless clips - or when to swap out your gun to meet the next threat effectively. And criminally, you don’t get to pick up an energy sword and gut something."
Waste of a launch game opportunity if you ask me. Microsoft need to go so much harder with its key brands.
343 industry:
I'll admit it, when VR first became a "thing," I was skeptical. The idea of putting on a headset seemed claustrophobic and the promise of truly inhabiting a virtual space felt far away... boy was I wrong. There are precious few opportunities as a creative team to get to explore a truly brand new medium - the mixed reality space is exactly that, and it's magical. Here at 343 Industries, we are just starting to dip our toes into the mixed reality space but we are hugely passionate about the potential to truly explore and play in our universe with this technology.
"343 Industries ‘skeptical’ of VR at first."
Then MS ordered them to do it.
Just wish they would leave them alone to focus on HALO 6.
Really don't get why MS is sending the mix message of supporting VR on PC and not console what with the PS4 able to do it yet the XBX can't. Isn't currently anyway.
This won't come to XboneX. After all, Phil the Almighty said himself that VR will come to XboneX when it doesn't feel like "demos and experiments".
So VR is coming to Xbox at somepoint after all.
