Since the Enix merger, they have underwhelmed me at just about every corner. I look forward to FFXIII but to be honest, anything else from them has not even found my radar.

MS's pockets are just as big as Sony's the thing is here that MS will Pay out there ass with and continue to gain negative deficits to gain PS3 games, while Sony will use what money they have to broaden there first and second party developer studios and help publish third party games that they see fit worthy of an exclusive... Quantic dreams, konami and Irem, and From Software says hello..

^^ Anywho back on topic. i expect dozens of DS and PSP love from square and trailers for all the next gen FF products in development, playable version of the for the Last remnant and SO:Last Hope. and maybe 1 or 2 surprise game announcements.

the problem other then the obvious someone giving a billion dollars for anything, is that if that were to happen MS wouldnt profit off of it. No game, system etc can generate a billion dollars worth of sales to compensate or profit from that kinda of offer. At least not in the given time MS is hoping to profit it from anyway. I would believe FF Versus on 360, and I would believe that Microsoft would pay to release FFXIII at the same time with the PS3 version. But you must have been spoonfed acid (or Bill Gates' cum for that matter) when you were really young (probably yesterday) if you really believe that Microsoft would pay a billion dollars just for the development of a single game even though no game has ever made back that kind of money in terms of profit, the best selling FF has sold about 10 million units (many of them at budget price) and that isn't even pure profit, not to mention Xbox 360 is the last console where it would make the money back. Your ignorance is also too damned blatant in that you don't even know that Sony owns the publishing rights for FF7 in America, so FF7 could never come out in America (Xbox's only territory) unless it had Sony's name on it.

I've lost hope on seeing gameplay for FF13.
I think that all Square will do is announce more crap about FF13 instead of actually showing us a 10 minute play-through.

There are only three announcements from Square that would excite me
-Star Ocean 4 coming to PS3
-Kingdom Hearts 3 coming to PS3
-And a FF7 remake for the console it is meant to be on, PS3

The only time someone can afford to not publish on a platform is if they're a big enough name that they can get away with it (Itagaki, Kojima), they've been paid off/had development funded by a platform holder or they've been screwed over by a platform holder and refuse to work on their platform(Level 5).

You're none of these things, if you somehow get a publisher, they'd make sure it's on as many platforms as possible for your wellbeing and theirs.

It's completely assinine for a small, unknown developer to reduce the number of platforms their game is on.

OnslaughtX, Tales of Vesperia is a 360 game only. They are bringing another Tales of game to the PS3. Don't talk about crap you don't know. It's been told so many times before. As for Star Ocean 4, it may get some gameplay footage on the 360 but I won't expect them to jump the gun and announce it's coming to PS3 also. With pockets like Microsoft, are you not hearing what's been going on? Sony is the ones that has to worry about what games. Sony-only are bitter. Get yourself a 360 and just enjoy games.

Dont worry about it.The PS3 games they took are worthless anyway.Devil May Cry 4 and GTA4 sucked thanks to the limitations of the DVD 9.Same will be for Final Fantasy XIII.All that "optimizing PS3" games is a load as they have enjoyed making crap games for the 360 and DS instead.The only true next gen RPGs are White Knight Chronicles.

I believe that Square SHOULD at least announce some positive news for the PS3. That being said, I don't know how likely it is...

I mean, I'm not going to rant and rave about how they "betrayed" Sony, but there is definitely no denying that the 360 has been receiving a lot more of Square's attention than the PS3 of late. Financially, it does indeed make sense to publish their games (re: FF13) on the X360. I mean, more consoles = more sales, right?

Which is why the exclusivity of Star Ocean 4 to the 360 is absolutely baffling. It is a slap in the face to the company that helped Square explode into a truly powerhouse developer. On top of that, Square is a very Japanese developer in that their games appeal primarily to Japanese gamers. As such, they can't afford to alienate the HD console that sells the most in Japan. I'm not saying they wouldn't SURVIVE alienating Sony, it just seems like an idiotic business move is all...

So, yes, I would THINK that Square should throw PS3 users a bone at TGS. But, in reality, here's what the three major things I would guess they're going to announce:

1)FF13 360 in Japan (Please do not freak out at me, I am not a 360 fan, but this just seems like a rational step. Square clearly doesn't care about ruffling Sony's feathers and the success of Infinite Undiscovery proved that the 360 CAN sell JRPGs in Japan.

2)Star Ocean for PS3 (I'm simply assuming this as I would think that S-E wants to give Sony SOMETHING and this would be the easiest, cheapest solution.

3)One major unannounced game: The two that I'm leaning towards as possibilities are Kingdom Hearts 3 and FF7 remake. However, though an FF7 remake would be the easiest money Square has EVER made, I don't see it happening. Too many developers on the various FF13 projects.

Phew... That was long.

Oh, and, by the way, as much as I'd like to think that FF13 Versus is going to stay exclusive to the PS3, I do not see it happening... So, yeah... Just brace yourselves.

1. Didn't Nomura say he was VERY high on the PS3 and wan't too pleased with what MS's console offered? And wasn't HE in charge of FFV13? Unless he somehow got removed from that project, the FFV13 to 360 thing WILL NEVER HAPPEN!! And if he WAS removed, then we have to wonder...WHY?

2. They REALLY need to show some PS3 love for the reason to still say that they are somehow multiplatform-friendly. This is something like what Bush's version of bipartisanship was: That one system would rule and everyone else would have to either follow or be branded with whatever escalating hysteria them and the fanboys decide to level on anyone who dares bring up any different viewpoint.

3. I think that the WhatIfGaming interview thing (and the fallout of the fans from that) sent some chill up SE's spine, and may have scared them enough to at least reconsider their options (the WhatIf Interview was after the ars tech interview). I have to think that they are playing around with us about their considerations on SO4 and they really have to stop doing that. At the risk of sounding like a broken record or of mass disagrees or personal/bubble attacks, I will say this: This is like Rockstar's way of playing around and trying to tease us with the GTA4 details: MS LOVES to take that teasing and then use the holes THAT creates to try to say that things from their 3rd party "partners" are going to happen when they have no CLUE what is actually going to happen. SE, be VERY careful, because you're playing around with what details you tell us about SO4, because MS WILL try to do this with you.

4. Sony does need to get on the ball with being competitive, and the TGS can be a starting point with a new stance and injecting the rabies into the attack dog. Get something HUGE from SE (remember, the 11 unannounced games does not necessarily mean that those will be the only things that Sony will announce. They can announce a ton more than that, even. The 11 game thing is just saying that we're guaranteed to hear about 11 PS3 games that no has been told about yet).
