have it on ps3, no need for switch version

EddieNX 2440d ago (Edited 2440d ago )

Ps3 , best portable console ever xx

No need for barely upgraded ps4 or XB1 versions. PC version is best graphically and the Switch version is portable. That makes ps4 and xb1 versions kind of in between those 2 and less desirable than either imo.

2pacalypsenow2440d ago (Edited 2440d ago )

But the switch has no improvement other than being portable, the PS4 and Xbx1 do have improvements, how do say barely any upgrades = bad and no upgrades is good?

The game being portable doesn't make it better, sounds like you're just trying to make it sound good because it's on the switch...

Nyxus2440d ago

If portability is important to you, that is. To some it is, others don't care that much about it.

Skuletor2440d ago

So, the game would be best on a gaming laptop then, having both the extra PC power plus the portability right?

EddieNX 2440d ago

Oh whatever. Portability doesn't matter because YOU don't think it does, goes both ways. We don't know the Switch version has no improvements over last gen version, I'm gonna predict it's at least higher resolution in docked mode.

Sorry but imo, PC version is the definitive graphics version. Switch is the portable version. XB1x and PS4 pro versions will be good but not as good as PC and vanilla PS4 and XB1 versions will just be underwhelming.
I'd rather have a portable version than an underwhelming vanilla ps4 version. Kind of how I'd rather definitely have Skyrim on Switch than the vanilla ps4 "special edition"

But please continue telling me how portability is useless and how your vanilla ps4 versions are "OMFG so much better than the Switch version derp"

InTheZoneAC2439d ago

la noire does not have the replayability to make it worth a purchase for a handheld...

Erik73572439d ago

I agree, the ps4/xb1 isn't the best really at anything here. If you want the best graphics PC, not xbox one or ps4, and if you want it portable Switch, not ps4 or xbox one.

letsa_go2439d ago

@EddieNX You are turning into the nintendo version of moldy. I guess the Switch success has really emboldened you with your mediocre opinions!

shauzy2439d ago

just remember that nobody shares your opinion dude, dont force it on others

SuperSonic912439d ago

So to have both great graphics and portability the PC gaming laptop version is the way to go then. And it will probably be cheaper on Steam.

CaptainObvious8782439d ago

I personally like playing my games in the comfort of my lounge with a nice recliner, headphones and big screen tv instead of on a tiny screen in a crowded train where I can't ever enjoy the game and immerse myself properly because I have to constantly know where I am so I don't miss my stop.

I guess I'm weird like that.

Matrix62439d ago

PS4 version can probably be played on Vita, so that's "semi-Portable" :D But I like crime fighting from my couch potato head. :D

bouzebbal2439d ago

nintendo is glad pigeons like you exist.
pay much more for an inferior version of a 5+ year old game..
you guys have so many games to play that this is godsend to you :)

G3ng4r2439d ago (Edited 2439d ago )

The argument "gaming laptop is the way to go" is pretty funny. There are levels of portability lol. Switch can be carried in a pocket and played sitting anywhere with or without a table/desk, surely someone's owned a gameboy and experienced that sort of thing. Being tethered to a tv is now an option. By the way who came up with playing on a train? I doubt that's much of a thing outside of Japan. Meanwhile the guys who've decided gaming laptop > switch for the best portability, I'm sure they exist somewhere, can carry it in their bag or pull up a chair and whip out their mouse. Just gotta give her a few minutes to turn on.

As for smartphone gaming you can find slightly deeper experiences than a fidget spinner. There are a few games that do more, such as an inferior port of final fantasy 6. Or you could emulate but you'll want a bluetooth controller because no buttons = trash for anything but simple time wasting games.

Neonridr2439d ago

@SickSinceSix - good luck with that gaming laptop on the bus :P

Well I would say the Switch version for you would be a more notable experience over the ps4 version because its portable for the first time if we got it on ps3

nitus102439d ago

Portability is fine but most people using their smart phones to do this. Try playing in a crowded train or bus especially if you are standing which is what a typical commuter in a city environment would do. As for cars, the cops take a dim view of drivers that are gaming although they may put them in for a Darwin award.

What about planes? I will concede this but let's be real here how many people fly as a passenger on a daily, weekly or even monthly basis?

Most people will play a game either at home or at their destination and consoles like the PS4 and XB1s are portable enough to allow this.

georeo2439d ago

What's new from you? Everything on the switch is better to you.

KwietStorm_BLM2440d ago

If they had some form of AR, it would go a long way to make the buy more appeal. Does the Switch have a camera?

2pacalypsenow2440d ago

Might pick this up on the Ps4 or Xbox1, not sure yet.

potedude2439d ago

I played it on PS3, thoroughly enjoyed it. The fetch missions in the car got a little boring but the main story line was great. If you haven't played it I would recommend.

DivineAssault 2440d ago

If its priced at $40 or lower, ill get it.. I never bought this one plus good 3rd party games need support on nintendo consoles..

Nyxus2440d ago

It's $40 on PS4 / Xb1, $50 on Switch I believe.

EddieNX 2440d ago

Just for physical copy. Digital is the same price.

R00bot2439d ago

Why did EddieNX get 3 downvotes for telling the truth?

Neonridr2439d ago

@R00bot - because he made a comment that isn't slamming Nintendo. Saying MS / Nintendo sucks will automatically get you upvotes around here :P

He is quite correct. Digitally the games are the same price. Physically the Switch is $10 more.

Profchaos2440d ago

It's priced at $89 AUD so translated it's around 70 USD I was thinking the same as you but I'll wait for a sale in 12 months

DivineAssault 2440d ago

Is that the final price or place holder? Retail games go for $60 out here and i doubt many people will pay even that for this game..

GameBoyColor2439d ago

Ya'll aussies still gettin ripped huh? It'll only be 50physical and 40 digital here.

Matrix62439d ago

It's 10 bucks cheaper at JB and $65 @mightyape. But I'll wait for a sale from the UK. Maybe even on the PSN xmas sales or whenever it's dirt cheaper.

Gemmol2439d ago

50 for physical, 40 for digital

strayanalog2440d ago

LA Noire should be an interesting re-release, for all consoles in terms of interest, but I personally won't be playing it again, as I imagine most won't.. unless you want to take your cases on the go.
In my opinion, the game lacks any real replay value and the open world is rather hollow and pointless, but to each their own.

Yui_Suzumiya2439d ago

Well it is the one good thing Rockstar was involved in with everything else being absolute shite except for the Red Dead series.

L.A. Noire And Bully — Rockstar's Lost Gems That Deserve A Sequel As Much As GTA

Hanzala from eXputer: "I do appreciate GTA 6, Rockstar, but if I could trade it for a new L.A. Noire or a Bully game, I'd do so in a heartbeat."

Skuletor41d ago

How are they lost? You can get L.A. Noire on Steam, PS5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch and Bully is on the PS5 and Xbox Series too.

Psychonaut8541d ago

I want a new Manhunt game. But that will never happen.

Demetrius40d ago

Mfs are too sensitive nowadays and would cry instead of being concerned bout real world problems

Demetrius40d ago

Whenever gta 6 launch we won't be getting another rockstar title for another 10 years lol but on the positive side they bou to come back n show how open world supposed to be done 🔥

Skuletor40d ago

I won't expect any singleplayer DLC like IV's The Lost & Damned or The Ballad of Gay Tony after it launches either

12 Years Later, L.A. Noire is Still an Excellent Experience

There was a lot to love about Rockstar and Team Bondi's 2011 open world title.

One I never finished. I've been looking at the ps4 version off Amazon the last few months just never bit

Knightofelemia145d ago

It's worth playing LA Noire is one of my favorite Rockstar games. But I would also check out pawnshops or thrift stores if you want the game dirt cheap. Someone may have been dumb enough to dump the game.

andy85145d ago

Baffles me when people have these opinions about acclaimed games 😂

RhinoGamer88146d ago

100% agree... not perfect, but an engaging/refreshing experience.

sagapo146d ago

Agree, at time of release those facial expressions were amazing! They still hold strong even today imo.
The game on its own was good. Something fresh, but sidequests were a bit meh after a while.

Nacho_Z146d ago

I picked it up on sale recently, going to play it next summer. I'll get more out of it this time, first time around I treated the open world like it was GTA and goofed about, whereas now I'll play it with more respect. RDR2 has trained me well.

I also hadn't read Raymond Chandler at the time so presumably that'll add another layer of enjoyment too.

1nsomniac146d ago (Edited 146d ago )

Absolutely stunning game. So underrated. Played through it again last year and it still stands up so well. Like many of rockstars games it’s actually a far better experience on PC. I didn’t enjoy it as much on console. Completed it at least 3 times on pc.

The rumours of a sequel are awesome news despite the fact I think Rockstar are now the shell of the company they once were.

SyntheticForm146d ago

Team Bondi made a hell of a game.
