They never had in the past, and they won't now. Whether that be the pedometer that came with HGSS, the wireless adapter with FRLG, or even the z-crystal bracelet for SuMo. They've never been mandatory.

Just make 2 grand adventure with online battles and lots on collectibles. I would love it if we get to create our own badges so others can battle each other.

Seems like they're looking at local multiplayer. It would be cool if you could do 2-4 multiplayer battle on one device.

If they make a Pokemon game for the switch. Go back to the gym badge system of fighting gym leaders and get rid of this oathetic 4 islands. Played Sun and grew tired of the 4 islands system. Miss my old nostalgia days of fighting 8 gym leaders then the elite 4.

While the gym system was great, I think its time they move on from this system and these kind of story as a whole.

I want to experience fresh story from Pokemon instead of the usual go here, beat them, move on, and repeat. Make the story more interesting like other Japanese rpgs such Tales of or Ni No Kuni.

Gyms should be missions but it could be just one of many quests you take whilst visiting regions. Instead of doing sequels just at large DLC packs like new region s and pokemon outfits for player. A deep economy system and customisation too I reckon.

I found Pokemon gold/silver one of the best games in the series.
Worked on the issues. Made the game a much faster experience. Then expanding the world with the other regions.

I agree they should add more of a story. But I just didn't like the change in sun/moon.
I wouldn't know nowhere they could go without really changing the game and removing the whole badge system.

i am personally sick and tired of the gym badge system,that's why i gave up on pokemon post emerald.I haven't played sun yet but games need to evolve.
