Rainbow Six: Siege has brought so much to the table when it comes to tactical shooters that it might very well dethrone (someday!?)
Gaming Boulevard got their hands on Rainbow Six Siege: Shifting Tides and explains why it's such a big improvement.
While the majority of video games are marketed to the audiences in the west, the market in Asia is big (and Asia isn’t only Japan), and it even reaches massive status when you factor in China. Ubisoft has announced a list of changes it’s making to Rainbow Six Siege’s aesthetics since it plans to expand to Asian territories.
Not good. I won't be supporting game companies that cater to communist regimes.
Ubisoft has been silent on the request from players since the game’s release.
I think its fine. I have 700 hours on PC and only play ranked, only been kicked out of maybe 3 games due to accidental team killings. And then it's a 15 minute ban.
Issue is, how do you fix it? Remove team killing? That would not work because watching your shots helps add to the tension and strategy of the game.
Also by removing the ban then you run in to the issue of team killers running rampant and just forcing everyone down to Copper 4.
Edit: forgot they changed the ban system. As one not gotten a TK. But those ban timers reset after a while so you shouldn't see more then 30 minutes ever, if you even see thst.
How about realy punishing those who teamkill. It doesnt happen to often but very anoying when u get in a game With those asshats that kils u right in the begining of a round. Im sure those fuckers does this often and should realy be punished or banned!
A hour or so punishment is nothing. Im sure those guys does it right before they log of and the punishment means nothing then. And if u acidentaly kill someone and they also se it after in the killcam, why WHY do they kill u in the NeXT round?! Nice way to loose a match for the entire team...
On pc i never really had a problem with tkers, but on ps4 i run into them like every other game, whether it be on my team or the enemy team. it's annoying and should really be punished more severely on console
Wishful thinking..
No. Doesn't really matter if the game itself is great or not; the hype just isn't there and very few people actually play it. Its popularity is only going to decrease from now on. Or at the very least, it won't magically grow 10x and suddenly match CSGO's ccu
Still play Siege frequently. Its the only FPS I currently play. Lotta fun to be had, especially if you have a good group of people to communicate with, which oddly enough happens often considering I random most of the time due to my schedule. Definitely glad I bought this game and have no regrets about it.
I have this game and have put 83 hours according to my Steam profile: http://steamcommunity.com/i...
This game? It will never be the next CSGO because it doesn't play like CSGO and the learning curve is too deep for people to easily pick up.
Look, I enjoy the game (83 hours...) and go as far to say that I like it better than CSGO due to mechanics, but the game suffers from many bugs and not so great hitboxes (planned to be fixed) that do ruin the balance and use of certain characters. The thing about CSGO is that that's a game that anyone can pick up and you won't need to worry about mechanics being reworked or characters/weapons being added in so then you have to relearn what you already know. On the other hand, Siege is a game where you need hours and hours to get decent, learning every character, every entry point, what works, what doesn't in every map...many people give up because the learning curve is a lot and then you have a community that pressures you and blames you because of positioning or barricading the wrong walls so they end up team killing you. Yea, team kill punishment is kind of light in Siege as you can get one free team kill and a lot of people do use it to troll or show anger.
CSGO has strong staying power, but Siege, some want to master it, some get too frustrated to find out the correct way to every mechanic and play something else. Though, the addition of "loot boxes" in Siege did dramatically increase that staying power, but the game needs to be more newbie friendly and add more than those tutorials. One component is to add a destructible environment highlighter setting so new players can learn which walls are insertion points or penetrable because it took me a lot of time to learn what kind of walls I can punch holes with a shotgun. A lot of the learning actually came from watching other players carefully than me doing it.
Siege is fun once you get the flow of it, but the thing is with games like these, fun is when you can do good here and there and the only way you can get the flow of things is to pour in hours and hours. That;s because once you die, you have to wait your turn again for a while so it's unlike fighting games that also have a steep learning curve, but you can still have fun playing casually.
I played R6 for awhile, and it almost always just made me want to play CS.
