I'm thinking they want to be as vague as possible with sp campaign. I'm guessing there is probably around 15-18 missions total. I wouldn't mind seeing at least pieces of 1 or 2 more myself.

Looks like Ace-Combat is only half a game.

1. Where's the working instrument panel?

2. Where is the real cockpit and panel HUD.

3. Can you look left, right and up, out the windows to find the enemy?

4. Correct take off and landings?

5. Can this game work with Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas 4 Flight Stick or any Flight Stick?

I can only see buying Ace-Combat if...

1. You get your orders from your commander.

2. You go to your plane and mount up.

3. You check for takeoff, get the GO and takeoff.

3. You have your "Way Points" to navigate to on your map, for ground or air combat.

4. You must successfully complete your mission.

5. You must return to base or aircraft carrier AND LAND IN ONE PIECE to finish the game!

6. Then you get your points and rewards.

If Ace-Combat can't do that... it's not worth the money. Just a pretty game with beautiful graphics is not a real working flying game. And there must be a correct multiplayer interface for friends to join... or who's going to be your wing man? Will Ace-Combat have User Controlled Custom Private Game Servers for Private or public competitions and Clan Tournaments? And E-Sports doesn't count!

If Ace-Combat can't provide a real flying game and can only make arcade flying games for kids... then we will stick with a real flying games like WAR THUNDER - AVIATION FLIGHT! See it here: https://warthunder.com/en/g...

As someone who has played IL-2 Sturmovik (my all time favorite online game), Birds of Steel, and War Thunder, as well as every console Ace Combat besides the first one, I can tell you that its a bit different than a sim but its also not "an arcade flying game for kids". Its a good compromise between sim and arcade especially if you go with expert control scheme (formally labelled as standard control scheme in previous games: roll, pitch and yaw). These games usually have a lot of heart in the story department, outside of 6 and AH and the US versions of 2&3. They are typically loaded to the brim with sp replayability and unlockables, have a good difficulty, especially on ace mode (which is where you want go if you're anything like me with flight games). They have good payload options which can drastically alter how you approach the missions. They also leave IL-2, BoS, and WT in the dust where mission design is concerned. My only regrets with series are the inclusion of high-g turns and AC:AH, hopefully on this one you'll be able to turn off high-g turning. I could go on for awhile about the positives of the series but Ive only had 2 hours sleep and my boss is looking at me funny. I want to hit you with a disagree but if you've never played an AC game, can't really blame you for not understanding them, especially with the guy in the vid using the simplified control scheme.

Sony should not focus on the flight sim market. It's an exclusive market raised in the 90's
If Ace combat did that the environment would not consist of fictional countries and planes.
It's a sci-fi game so it can never be a sim!!.. Just like some COD games.

It's also a completely different game, without a shred of a story, while Ace Combat is a narrative-driven game.

they're both simcade flying combat games with vr features. I also will guarantee you that Ace's story will be thin and unmemorable. Besides that War Thunder is the better combat vr game.
