The game is ace, worth every penny and its all I have played since its release on xb1 . There is just so much to it and I applaud how fast the devs are at communication with fans and how fast they bring patches in.
This is a game I shall be playing for a long time, I'm fact I'd gone of games for a while and fortnite brought me back.
What I was surprised about is how much content this game really does have especially with how much there is to level. You have you main exp, then there's your guns, traps, heroes, defenders, squads, survivors, your own storm shield, skill trees, evolution of all that I mentioned, research trees, have I forgot anything perhaps as there's so much to do. All the resource finding , I can't say as I have had such fun on a resource management game in such a long time, finding chests, safes, seeing a chest turn into a mimic, not seen than since final fantasy.
The building to the game is simple yet so enjoyable. Each map I enjoy playing and brings its own set of challanges as well. The devs have not been shy with there v bucks either and that was what made me scared about this game, they can be obtained through a few ways as well as chests can. I also love the sticker book idea, have dupes get rewards like mad, the game isn't shy on rewarding it's players.
The game reminds me of a cross between minecraft, borderlands and something else I can't quite think of.
This is one game I will buy there ultimate edition for, you do feel the benifit with what each version gives. Also if you buy the standard, then later choose to upgrade you have that option with no extra cost as it would through the console store the in game store calculates the fact I've brought the standard edition and to get the deluxe it's the difference in cost only. Usually on games if you buy a standard edition then want one of the other editions you still have to pay all that price again, but not with fortnite.
My advice to anyone is don't wait till it's free, also if you buy any upgrade or edition after the standards, you start getting free copys of the standard edition to hand out to friends, how ace is that.
