Ninja Theory is doing a mix of games besides Hellblade. They're also adamant that VR will become the dominant form of gaming.
At a recent visit of 11 bit studios, Wccftech got hands-on with Frostpunk 2 and spoke to the development team about it. Here's the exclusive Q&A.
Josh Sawyer is a name that has been familiar to RPG fans for decades. He's worked on Icewind Dale, Neverwinter Nights 2, Alpha Protocol, Fallout: New Vegas, Pillars of Eternity, and most recently Pentiment. How did he get into game development, how has his design philosophy changed over the years, and why did he decide to do Pentiment a little differently?
Those are some great games. Icewind Dale I & II are underrated.
If Larian made Icewind Dale III, I'd lose my mind.
What a fantastic, thorough interview.
TechRaptor writes, "After getting our hands on the Frostpunk 2 story, we got to sit down with Łukasz Juszczyk to talk about how the game evolved from the original."
VR dominant? I hope not, that could get me to stop playing games and I would hate it.
I think the main thing holding back VR is the price tag attached to it. I know there's more affordable options but there's a difference between "more affordable" and "affordable"
doubt VR will be the standard for a long time, VR and traditional games can co exist but VR wont replace traditional gaming
I also think that VR won't ever replace traditional screen gaming. It's just not practical to put a headset on for long periods and shut out the world around you.
VR is to gaming as Electric cars is to the automobile industry, they will be adopted, used, and have an important role, but they won't take over just yet. It'll be years on years before we fully adopt VR.
