New Game Review – Dino Frontier (PSVR) | Way Too Many Games

"Dino Frontier is for any kid that went to visit their grandparents and all they had to play with were some plastic dinosaurs, some building blocks, and a tin of cowboys and Indian figures. Sure, I had my GI Joe’s and my Transformers at home, but for that week away from them, I mashed together a glorious nonsensical world and ruled over it. That is what Dino Frontier captures so beautifully." - 'WayTooManyGames' author, Todd Eggleston

Game looks cool and caught my attention at e3, but it seems like it needs some more content. I'll probably wait for some DLC before jumping into this.

I hate to call it an experience because it really isn't, it is a full game with game mechanics that utilize PSVR rather than simply demo it. I agree 100% that I would love more content, or even a mode that makes me want to continue my town along, the price is right for the content. I'll gladly pay for their DLC though.

The thing that makes base building games a ton of fun is the longevity and the constant upgrading and improving, but also having someone or something to raid and fight. Just look at Clash of Clans. Maybe they should add an online mechanic of raiding other people settlements and have a big online dino battle system or something.

Just looks like it needs... more.

@Jawes Yeah. It isn't quite a SIM, isn't quite an RTS, isn't quite a Tower Defense. It just dips in all three of those to show you how brilliant VR could be for those older genres to give them a fresh feel.

finally!, being waiting for this game since its announcement some years ago, so many objects on screen using physics running at 60 fps is always mesmerizing to see.

Played the demo on PSVR2 - it's trippy as hell!

Awesome. I had this on my PS wishlist and was going to buy it Day 1. Seen as I have Extra, now I don't need to!
PSVR2 support too.

Platformers are not really my thing, but I guess I can try it out on PlusExtra. In VR2 to boot.
